Michigan Tech (D-II): Head coach Tom Kearly has decided to retire. Kearly led the Michigan Tech program for 11 seasons, a 70-44 record, nine winning seasons, and the second most wins in program history.

FIU:Butch Davis has agreed to become head coach at FIU, ESPN's Brett McMurphy is reporting. Those that have followed this "search" have relayed for weeks that there has truly been no search. This was Butch's job all along. McMurphy adds that Davis and FIU have agreed to a five-year deal.

Bridgewater State (D-III - MA): The school has removed Joe Verria's tag as interim head coach after Verria led the club to its first Massachusetts State Athletic Conference championship in 16 years.

Christopher Newport (D-III - VA): Christopher Newport is now accepting applicants for their head coaching position. Interested applicants should follow the instructions via this link.

Cleveland Browns: Despite Hue Jackson's 0-10 start, his job leading the Browns franchise is safe, according to what Cleveland executive VP of football operations Sashi Brown told Mary Kay Cabot. Brown added that "we want a team of people that are going to be here for a long time" and when asked if the front office was rethinking their plan, noted "No, we're always knew this was going to be a major challenge".

Northern Michigan (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Chris Ostrowsky will not return. Ostrowsky led the program for five seasons and also served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Birmingham Southern (D-III - IL): Centre College (D-III - KY) offensive coordinator Tony Joe White has now officially accepted the head coaching job at Birmingham Southern, sources confirm to FootballScoop.

Carson-Newman (D-II - TN): Head coach Ken Sparks announced during a press conference today that he is retiring after leading the program for 37 years. Sparks coaching career ends with a career record of 338-99-2. Read more on coach Sparks' legendary career here.

Big South: Campbell has announced it will add scholarships and join the Big South beginning in 2018. "We plan to be competitive from Day One," Campbell president J. Bradley Creed said.

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State is looking for a graduate assistant to coach a defensive position based on qualifications of the candidate. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Coaching / playing experience preferred. Compensation package includes $8,000/year and full-tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. South Carolina: Former Gamecocks running back and one-time USC staffer Marcus Lattimore has been named head coach at Heathwood Hall Episcopal School in Columbia.
