It's that time of year again: We are now accepting nominations for the FootballScoop Coach of the Year awards presented annually by the great people at ProGrassTurf. Awards will be given to FBS coordinators and position coaches and divisonal coordinators, with winners being honored at the AFCA convention in Nashville. Coaches must be nominated by fellow coaches to recieve consideration, and, as always, winners will be chosen by former winners in each category. Arizona Cardinals: Bruce Arians has been released from the hospital and is expected back at work as early as Tuesday, per Adam Schefter.

Houston: Tillman Fertitta, the billionaire chairman of the UH board of regents, said Monday if Houston loses Tom Herman it won't be over money.

Oregon: Longtime Ducks assistant Gary Campbell is considering retirement, according to the Oregonian. "I think about it. I don't know when I'll do it, but it's close," Campbell said. Employed by the Ducks continuosly since 1983, Campbell is the longest tenured assistant in FBS.

San Francisco 49ers: When asked if he's gotten any assurance from Jed York on if he'd return for the 2017 season, Chip Kelly responded "No, we haven't had any conversations about that at all. About anybody's job security," according to SFGate.

How did Chuck Martin flip Miami (Ohio) from 0-6 to 5-6? "We stayed the course."

Lamar (FCS - TX): Head coach Ray Woodard will not return, sources tell FootballScoop. Woodard has been the program's only head coach since its 2009 resurrection. The Cardinals went 3-8 this season.

Florida State: Addressing rumors on Jimbo Fisher, Florida State president John Thrasher told the Tallahassee Democrat that they talk frequently and "based on that he is happy here and wants to stay." Thrasher went on to note that FSU is open to exploring anything Jimbo wants or needs, within reason.

Texas: Charlie Strong said Monday he'll be evaluated after Friday's TCU game, and that he wants to return next season.

UC Davis (FCS): Sources confirm to FootballScoop thathead coach Ron Gould will not return. Gould was named head coach back in December of 2012 and the team went 3-8 this season.

Arizona Cardinals: Head coach Bruce Arians has been hospitalized with chest pains, the team has announced. Adam Schefter reports tests so far have been "favorable."

FIU: Former Memphis safeties coach Brent Guy will be the new defensive coordinator at FIU reports Alex Marvez who has been all over the FIU news. Read more here.

New Orleans Saints: The Saints plan to bring in another assistant coach to work with their special teams according to Jay Glazer.

The NCAA and NFL Coaches Academy: The NCAA & NFL Coaches Academy provides current, full-time college football coaches at NCAA member schools, some former NFL athletes, the opportunity to expand their knowledge and insight into the world of college football coaching. The 2017 academy takes place Feb. 10-12 in Tampa, Florida. During the three-day academy, the NCAA leadership development staff and the National Football League Player Engagement educate and train selected participants in a variety of areas that encourage effective coaching and improve student-athlete well being at both the college and professional levels. Current full-time position coaches, coordinators and assistant or associate head coaches at NCAA member institutions are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30. Keynote speakers have included Arizona State head coach Todd Graham, legendary NFL coaches Tony Dungy, Mike Sherman, Dan Reeves, NFL Hall of Famer Mike Singletary, and Tyrone Willingham, former head coach at Notre Dame, Stanford and the University of Washington.
