Former longtime Eastern Illinois head coach Bob Spoo sadly passed away this morning. Spoo led EIU to nine FCS playoff appearances with an overall record of 144-131 from 1987-2011. Please join us in praying for his family and all the lives he touched.

Seattle Seahawks: Team owner Paul Allen passed away Monday afternoon due to complications from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which Allen announced two weeks ago had returned after first battling the disease in 2009. Allen had owned the Seahawks since 1996, a span that covers all three of the team's Super Bowl appearances and the club's only victory, and also owned the NBA's Portland TrailBlazers and MLS's Seattle Sounders. He is best known as the co-founder of Microsoft. He was 65 years old.

SEC: The SEC will not punish Derek Mason or Dan Mullen (or Todd Grantham) for nearly coming to blows Saturday.

Tampa Bay Bucs:The Bucs have fired defensive coordinator Mike Smith, per multiple reports.

Boise State: Bryan Harsin has agreed to a contract amendment that includes a buyout and bonuses, and it will go in front of the Idaho State Board of Education for approval later this week the Idaho Stateman reports. Harsin's base salary will remain the same, and the new terms include a buyout of $300k if he leaves after this season, and that figure will drop $50k for each year after. Bonuses include $10k for a home win over BYU, and $15k if they beat them in Provo.

Bowling Green: Athletic director Bob Moosbrugger said this morning that no boosters have come forward to help pay the buyout of Mike Jinks. The athletic department will bear the costs. Also, interim head coach Carl Pelini noted at the school's presser today that he plans to continue calling the defense.

Auburn: After their loss to Tennessee over the weekend to drop them to 4-3 on the year, Gus Malzahn was noncommittal about potential coaching staff changes, stating "I'm not ready to sit here and make any kind of talk about staff or players other than I'm disappointed," before adding, "Whatever it takes to get us corrected and finish this thing the right way, I'm going to do," per AL.com.

Bowling Green: In the first FBS head coaching change of the 2018-19 season, Bowling Green announced the decision to move on from the Mike Jinks era.

Middle Tennessee:MTSU denies allegations of player mistreatment.

Alfred (D-III - NY):  Alfred University is looking for a game on Saturday, September 14 or Saturday, October 12 in 2019. Preferred home game. Please contact Coach Stephen Pribble at pribble@alfred.edu.

Arkansas Twisters (Indoor): Arkansas Twisters, located in Little Rock, AR is looking for a part-time defensive coach working with the defensive line / linebackers. Must have played or coached defensive line at the college level. Arena experience is helpful but not mandatory. Strength and conditioning background is a plus. Must be available mid February through July. Pay is $6,000, housing and some meals will be provided. Rowan (D-III - NY):Rowan is looking to fill a few open dates. Dates needed next year in 2019 are 9/14, 9/21, and 9/28 and the corresponding dates in 2020.
