Texas: A week after alluding to making a change, Charlie Strong said Monday he will not demote Vance Bedford as defensive coordinator. "It's not like all of a sudden Vance forgot how to coach defense," he said. "You're three games into it. I don't see at that point how that would help us."

Mississippi State: Sources tell FootballScoop sitting FBS athletic directors have already begun the process of discussions with Mississippi State about their athletic director position. Last week we shared the news of current Mississippi State AD Scott Stricklin being the lead candidate at Florida.

Lincoln University (D-II - MO): Head coach Mike Jones has been let go. Outside linebackers coach Lee Johnson will serve as interim head coach.

LSU: In addition to the moves disclosed yesterday on The Scoop, LSU has promoted Austin Thomas to general manager, Eric Mateos to tight ends coach and Dennis Johnson to outside linebackers coach. Bradley Dale Peveto will focus solely on special teams. Director of football operations Dean Dingman is no longer with the program.
