Arizona State: Per source, Fresno State defensive line coach Jamar Cain is expected to become the new defensive line coach for the Sun Devils.

Georgia: Last Saturday we reported Charlton Warren was a strong candidate to leave Florida to go to Georgia. Today, that became official. Warren is Georgia's new defensive backs coach.

Carl Pelini: Source tells FootballScoop Carl Pelini has stepped down as defensive coordinator at Bowling Green and will become defensive coordinator / head coach in waiting for....

Incarnate Word (FCS - TX): Eric Morris has added Wendel Davis to the staff as co-defensive coordinator / linebackers. Davis spent the past two years at Georgia as a defensive grad assistant and spent one season at Texas as a defensive quality control. He previously coached linebackers for two seasons at A&M Commerce and three seasons at West Texas A&M.

Long-time Ferrum (VA) football coach Hank Norton has died at age 91. Please keep Coach Norton and his family in your prayers. From 1960-93, Norton directed the Ferrum Panthers to 29 winning seasons in 34 years and had five unbeaten teams. He compiled a 244-76-10 career record that ranks among the best in college football history. He is also a member of the Ferrum College Alumni Sports Hall of Fame, the University of Lynchburg Sports Hall of Fame, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame, the National Junior College Athletic Association Football Hall of Fame, and the Powhatan High School Hall of Fame.

Willamette (D-III - OR): Former Southern Oregon linebackers coach Buster Davis has been named defensive coordinator at Willamette. Davis played at Florida State and then played in the NFL with the Cardinals, Lions and Colts.

Dallas Cowboys: Multiple reports state the Cowboys are considering making Doug Nussmeier their new offensive coordinator.

Indiana: Sources tell FootballScoop Kalen DeBoer will be Indiana's new offensive coordinator.

Chicago: The Bears have hired Deshea Townsend as defensive backs coach and Ronell Williams as defensive quality control.

Coastal Carolina: In case you missed it, yesterday afternoon we learned Joe Moglia plans to step down and Jamey Chadwell will become head coach.

Boise State: Eastern Washington defensive coordinator Jeff Schmedding is joining the Boise State staff as co-special teams coordinator / outside linebackers. Schmedding had been at EWU since 2004. Additionally, Bryan Harsin has adjusted a number of roles on the staff as outlined here.

Notre Dame: Notre Dame is seeking to hire a defensive line GA . Job Description (full description online): Assist defensive coordinator and assistant football coaches with the breakdown of game film and preparation of weekly scouting reports. Assist with daily practice preparations and selected duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (full qualifications online): Requires a bachelor’s degree and thorough working knowledge of NCAA and University regulations relative to the operation of the football program.
