Baltimore Ravens: Longtime assistant coach Clarence Brooks has passed away due to esophageal cancer, the team has announced. The longest-tenured member of the Ravens' staff, Brooks coached the team's defensive line before transitioning to a senior defensive assistant role this year to battle the illness. “One of the finest coaches I have ever met, he changed the lives and influenced players and coaches for the better,” head coach John Harbaugh said. “He was a great man, loving husband and devoted father. He was as tough and determined in adversity as you’ll ever see and as loyal a friend as there is.” He was 65.
