Minnesota: Defensive coordinator Robb Smith has been let go; P.J. Fleck has named defensive line coach Joe Rossi as defensive coordinator. Rossi previously coordinated defenses at Rutgers, Maine and Thiel College.

Florida State: Heading into their game with NC State yesterday, head coach Willie Taggart handed over play calling responsibilities to offensive coordinator Walt Bell.

Josh McDaniels: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported this morning, in connection with the Browns' opening, that Patriots OC Josh McDaniels is open to considering head coaching opportunities again.

Coaching Bonuses: The following coaches earned bonuses this weekend, per Steve Berkowitz: Fresno State's Jeff Tedford ($50k for 8th win of the season); Boise State's Bryan Harsin ($10k for beating BYU), Alabama's Nick Saban ($75k for clinching the SEC West title), UAB's Bill Clark ($5k for 8th win of the season), Mississippi State's Joe Moorhead ($50k for bowl eligibility), UConn's Randy Edsall ($2k for scoring first in a 49-19 loss to Tulsa), Appalachian State's Scott Satterfield ($25k for bowl eligibility), NC State's Dave Doeren ($25k for bowl eligibility), Cincinnati's Luke Fickell ($10k for 8th win of the season), Georgia's Kirby Smart ($100k for clinching the SEC East), Auburn's Gus Malzahn ($50k for bowl eligibility), Michigan State's Mark Dantonio ($75k for bowl eligibility), MTSU's Rick Stockstill ($60,142 for bowl eligibility), and Northern Illinois' Rod Carey ($25k for bowl eligibility).
