The Scoop - Sunday October 13, 2019

Sunday October 13, 2019

Mike Tomlin: Citing a source, Adam Schefter reported Sunday that the Redskins reported pursuit of the Steelers' head coach is "so far fetched."

Penn State: James Franklin is set to earn a bonus of $200k for getting to bowl eligibility, Steve Berkowitz tweets.

Atlanta Falcons: Ian Rapoport shares that despite the team's 1-4 start owner Arthur Blank has not had discussions about Dan Quinn's future with the team. Rap adds that if improvements aren't seen over the next three weeks, where they face off against today with the 1-3-1 Arizona Cardinals and then have back-to-back home games, that there will "likely be some serious discussions." The Falcons have a bye in the week that follows those back-to-back home games, so a coaching change heading into that week may make sense if things don't turn around.

Minnesota: PJ Fleck is due to make $75k for getting the 6-0 Gophers to bowl eligibility, per Steve Berkowitz.

Washington Redskins: Adam Schefter reports that the Redskins "have no plans to begin their head-coaching search until after this season ends." Schefter adds that interim head coach Bill Callahan and staff will have the remainder of the season to "prove their worth" before any significant coaching moves are made.

#Nuggets: Oklahoma's defense and LSU's offense dominated, South Carolina stuns Georgia and everything else from Week 7.

Boise State: Bryan Harsin picked up a $35,000 bonus for leading Boise State to bowl eligibility, tweets USA Today's Steve Berkowitz.

Michigan State: Mark Dantonio was testy about his offense after a 38-0 loss to Wisconsin.
