Georgia Southern: Tyson Summers has been let go as head coach, sources tell FootballScoop. (Update: The school has now confirmed the move.) Read more here on what this means for the staff as well.

Virginia: UVA has announced Georgia deputy AD Carla Williams as their new director of athletics. Williams has agreed to a five year contract with a base salary of $550,000, plus incentives. UVA notes Williams is the first female African-American athletics director at a Power Five institution.

Roger Goodell: Adam Schefter reports Roger Goodell's contract extension "is still expected to be completed and has been papered, but the process has been slowed while the overwhelming majority of the NFL's attention has been diverted to handling the anthem issue." Schefter adds the deal is expected to be completed but other business is more pressing.
