Jim Harbaugh: Harbaugh publicly addressed the threatening tweets directed toward him by a former player on Thursday.

North Dakota State (FCS): Head coach Chris Klieman has signed an extension keeping him with the Bison through 2023. The extension tacks an extra two years onto his deal and comes after the program captured their third FCS national title under his leadership in the past four seasons. Klieman is 54-6 since taking over the program from Craig Bohl in 2014.

SUNY Cortland (D-III): SUNY Cortland is seeking a full-time 11-month offensive assistant coach. The hire will be a direct report to the Head Football Coach. Responsibilities to include but not limited to serving in the capacity of offensive assistant coach w/in-season and non-traditional practices by instructing student athlete(s) in physical health (conditioning & weight training), individual/team concepts, and safety. Will also coach special teams and have responsibilities for recruiting, academic retention and some administrative duties. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and successful college coaching experience required. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a Master’s degree; Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sport Management, and Exercise Science or a related field and/or experience as an offensive coordinator. The Apprentice School (D-III - VA): Per source, Campbellsville (NAIA - KY) linebackers coach Vince Brown will be named assistant head coach / defensive coordinator at The Apprentice School. Brown previously served on staffs at Gallaudet and Louisburg.

Boston College: Steve Addazio was paid $2.514 million for the fiscal year ending on May 31, 2017, according to tax filings obtained by The BC Heights. Former AD Brad Bates made $622,055 over that span.

Tennessee: Phillip Fulmer has signed a 4-year contract to remain on as Tennessee's AD. He will earn $900,000 annually with a $100,000 annual retention bonus to be paid each Dec. 31. The contract expires Dec. 31, 2021.

Fordham (FCS - NY): Steve Thames has officially joined the staff as assistant defensive backs / safeties coach, and Vincent DiGaetano has been named a volunteer special teams quality control assistant. Thames joins the staff after being an assistant at Dartmouth (FCS NH) the past two seasons, where he worked with the running backs and as an assistant wide receivers coach and DiGaetano worked at Wagner (FCS - NY) last season as a defensive assistant.

Tulsa: Per source, director of recruiting Clint Rountree has left the Tulsa football program to pursue a new opportunity outside of football. We understand that Tulsa has already filled the position.

Ball State: Per source,Matt Barlow has been promoted from graduate assistant to Director of Recruiting Operations. Also, per source, Jared Heck, Jaylon Finner, and Dan Reineck have been added to the staff as graduate assistants. Heck, most recently at Westminster College, will work with the defensive backs. Finner, most recently with Rice, will work with the linebackers. Reineck, most recently TEs coach at the University of Indianapolis, will work with the offensive line.

West Florida (D-II): UWF is now accepting applications for an Equipment GA positon. Expected starting date is July 10th, 2018. All applicants must be admissible to a UWF graduate program. Compensation includes 18 hours of graduate school during the year and a $500 monthly stipend; this is a 12-month position. Housing and meals are not included. Job duties: Ordering equipment, maintaining equipment, laundry, practice field set up and clean up, game day field set up and clean up, occasional painting of practice field, and other duties assigned by the football coaching staff. Previous equipment room experience required. This position has no coaching responsibilities; it is 100% an equipment position. No phone calls please.
