FAU: Montario Hardesty, a former Tennessee running back who most recently coached the running backs at Norfolk State, has been hired to coach the running backs on Lane Kiffin's staff.

New Research: Teaching/Drilling Slide Step Footwork in Off Man Coverage – Like most DB coaches, Steven Dudley had previously relied on teaching the traditional back pedal in off man technique. But with Fort Hays State University transitioning to more of a quarters based scheme, he found that his players were struggling with maintaining the tempo needed to come in and out of breaks. The slide step provided the proper body position to break on all routes. The results were tangible: his unit rose to the second best pass defense in the conference and interceptions rose from 5 to 9. Both starters were all-conference helping the Tigers win its first bowl game in the history of the program. Thiel (D-III - PA): Thiel College (D-III, PA) has two openings for intern assistant coaches with positions assignments TBD. Responsibilities for these positions include, but are not limited to: assisting in all aspects of coaching, planning and organization of practices, individual position meetings, game day duties, off campus recruiting own area, retaining student-athletes, video editing and other assignments assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics. North Alabama: Karl Morgan, a former assistant with the program, has joined the UNA staff as a defensive analyst for the 2017 season, per source.

Minot State (D-II - ND): Minot State University has an immediate opening for a restricted earnings assistant. The successful candidate will coach his own position, run positional meetings, assist with special teams, contribute to the weekly game plan and have his own recruiting area. Other responsibilities include summer camps, equipment, video and all other aspects of the football program. The position has the potential for a qualified candidate to earn a tuition waiver in the spring. The ideal candidate will be hard working, passionate and extremely motivated.
