4 Phase Progression to Train Cover Two Corners: Without question, the most difficult phase of teaching cover two is training the eyes of the corner. While "physicality" seems to be a common buzzword, if corners understand the importance of leverage and playing aggressively with their hands and eyes, they have a good chance of playing the coverage successfully. Coaches Will Davis and Brad Garrett at Clewiston High School (FL) developed a four phase training progression, which trains their corners on all of these fundamentals. In this exclusive X&O Labs clinic report, they explain in detail the progression they use and include the drill work that coincides to reinforce it. Read the clinic report here.
