Dixie State (D-II - UT): New head coach Paul Peterson has hired the following assistants per sources: Tyler Almond (defensive coordinator / safeties), Loni Fangupo (defensive line), Misi Tupe (linebackers), Mike Fassel (special teams / operations) and John Hughes (offensive line).

Auburn: Gus Malzahn says, contrary to all those local reports from late November, that no one ever approached him about adjusting his contract terms. Quite a read.

Texas Tech: Have a look at Matt Wells, David Yost and Keith Patterson's contract terms.

Maryland: Have a look at Mike Locksley's contract terms, which include a very unique provision.

North Dakota State:NDSU has their new head coach.

Utah State: Source tells FootballScoop Gary Andersen is hiring Utah linebackers / co-special teams coordinator Justin Ena as his defensive coordinator. At his introductory press conference Andersen spoke glowingly about his planned defensive coordinator hire saying he had planned to call the D himself until this person told him he would come. Big hire for Gary. Source tells FootballScoop Gary Andersen also has his head strength coach.

New rules (?): Agents, graduate transfers and everything else (football related) up for vote at the NCAA convention

Air Force: Nathan Pine, the athletic director at Holy Cross (FCS - MA) who spent four years as a top deputy in the US Military Academy's athletic department, is the new AD at Air Force. He takes over for Jim Knowlton who left for the AD position at Cal.

Central Michigan: Sources tell FootballScoop that Jim McElwain is not retaining a number of CMU assistant coaches including Chris Ostrowsky (OC), Jayden Everett (RBs), Marcus Knight (WRs), Greg Colby (DC), Tony Coaxum (STC), Mike Dietzel (LBs), and George Ricumstrict (DL). In addition, we understand that a final decision on the remaining staff (TEs coach / offensive recruiting coordinator Tavita Thompson, DBs coach / defensive recruiting coordinator Cory Hall, and OL coach / run game coordinator Derek Frazier) will depend on his coordinator hires.

South Carolina: Asked if he expects his staff to remain intact after a few of his assistants resisted overtures to join other programs, Will Muschamp stated during his presser "Right now? Yeah."

Philadelphia Eagles: Head coach Doug Pederson shot down rumors that former Eagles assistant John DeFilippo may be returning to the team to assist them in the closing weeks of the season following his dismissal as the offensive coordinator of the Vikings by noting that while DeFilippo did a great job during his time with the team, he's confident in his current staff & has no plans to bring DeFilippo back to Philly at this point, per PFT.

Kansas: Colorado defensive line coach Kwahn Drake has joined Les Miles' staff at Kansas. Brian Howell who covers Colorado had reported that Mel Tucker had retained Drake. Yesterday, sources told FootballScoop that Miles was planning to hire Jimmy Brumbaugh. Interesting times...

San Antonio Commanders (AAF): The following coaches have officially joined Mike Riley's staff: Matt Troxel (OC), Lyle Moevai (RBs), Josh Oglesby (TEs), Jeff McInerney (DL / STC), James Rodgers (OLBs), Ken Watson (DBs), Jim Grobe (DC / ILBs), Bill Bradley (DBs).

Alabama: Former Maryland head coach DJ Durkin has been helping Alabama behind the scenes in a "consultant-like capacity," Matt Zenitz tweets.

App State: Drink has now officially been named head coach at App.

Arkansas Tech (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop Arkansas Tech plans to hire Southeastern Oklahoma head coach Bo Atterberry as their new head coach.

App State: NC State offensive coordinator Eli Drinkwitz will be App State's new head coach source tells FootballScoop. Ethan Joyce was first to report the planned hire.

Anderson (D-III - IN): Anderson University is looking to fill the position of defensive coordinator. Responsibilities include coaching, recruitment and retention of academically qualified student-athletes. Applicant must commit to the AU mission and Christian lifestyle. Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, complete this employment application and three (3) references to staffjobs@anderson.edu. Applicants are welcome to also send a cover letter and resume to head coach Steve Rock at srock@anderson.edu. McNeese State (FCS - LA): Head coach Sterlin Gilbert has retained Tyler Bolfing (TEs), Alec Osborne (DEs), & Landon Hoefer (OC / WRs) as part of his new staff, per source.

Livingstone College (D-II - NC): Livingstone College D2 is looking for a game week 1 Sept 7th, 2019. Interested programs can contact coach Williams at 713-291-5040.

Arkansas Tech (D-II): Arkansas Tech is accepting applicants for six assistant coaching positions. These are 12-month, full-time positions. Essential duties include: academic monitoring; recruiting and development, community and alumni relations, participation in fundraising and operation of summer camps. Master's required, as is college coaching experience. Application, resume, cover letter, and contact information for three professional references. To be considered for the Assistant Football Coach position, all applications must be received and processed through our applicant tracking system Cornerstone prior to the closing date on December 27, 2018 before 6:00 pm central time. Northeastern State (D-II): JJ Eckert has now formally been announced as the new head coach. Eckert previously served as the head coach at Kilgore College (JC - TX) dating back to 2007.

Temple: Manny Diaz will be the new head coach at Temple, sources have shared with FootballScoop.

Mayville State (NAIA - ND):Mayville State is looking to finish their schedule with a game guarantee for the 2019 season against an FCS opponent. We are willing to travel a distance. Open dates are 9/21, 11/16, 11/23. Mayville State is in the NAIA and a member of the North Star Athletic Association.
