12/21 Personnel OZ/Boot Package:One of the more advantageous things an offense can do to a defense is dictate movement. And there is nothing that creates more horizontal flow than outside zone concepts. The University of Northern Colorado hung its hat on its outside zone and boot package this past season to get the box displaced along the line of scrimmage and distract the eyes of coverage defenders resulting in big plays. Their outside zone combined for an efficiency average of 60.8% and it averaged over six yards per carry. Running backs coach Brandon Maguire and offensive line coach Trevor Wikre present an exclusive clinic report with X&O Labs detailing the two base OZ runs in the Bears' system and the movement passes of them. X&O Labs will release this report Tuesday morning via email. To ensure you receive this report, go here and add your email.
