Kansas State: Bill Snyder is receiving treatment for Ann undisclosed health issues, per a report from The Wichita Eagle.

LSU: New running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson will earn $575,000 in the first of a 3-year deal he signed with LSU while wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph will earn $225,000 in year one of a 2-year deal, according to contract details obtained by Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.

North Carolina: As we alluded to earlier today, Gene Chizik is stepping down from his defensive coordinator spot, he announced Thursday. "I have made the personal decision to step away from football to focus on my family," Chizik said. North Texas defensive coordinator Mike Ekeler is filling his post as linebackers coach, we are told and the school has announced that John Papuchis, who coached the linebackers the last two seasons, is taking over as defensive coordinator.

Oregon: Oklahoma State running backs coach Marcus Arroyo will be Oregon's new passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach, according to Bruce Feldman.

San Francisco 49ers: GM John Lynch has announced the Niners have hired former Lions GM Martin Mayhew as a senior personnel executive.

Carolina Panthers: Team president Danny Morrison has stepped down to pursue "other endeavors, particularly at the college level, that interest me."

New Research: Western Connecticut’s Post Season Offensive Self-Scout Protocols – The post signing day respite quickly transitions into a self-scout period with staffs analyzing game tape of last season to assess what went right and what went wrong. But aside from evaluating proficiency, a progression needs to be established to determine what direction your offense is heading next fall. In X&O Labs exclusive clinic report, Western Connecticut State University’s offensive coordinator Drew Owens details his staff’s self scout protocol as it pertains to four main sub-studies: field position study, number of drives study, driver per quarter study and explosive play study. Kentucky: Sources tell FootballScoop North Texas defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc is expected to join the Kentucky staff in a similar capacity. Kyle Tucker of the AJC adds that Dean Hood (UNC Charlotte associate head coach / tight ends) is likely to join the UK staff as linebackers / special teams as well. Sources confirm to FootballScoop Hood will also join the UK staff.

Simpson College (D-III - IA): The Simpson College football program is now accepting applications for two (2) seasonal intern positions for the fall of 2017. One offensive intern and one defensive intern. These will be stipend, entry level positions with coaching position dependent upon the strengths and experience of the applicant. Duties will include but not be limited to: film break down, game planning, individual position, special teams, specific recruiting area, and any other duties issued by the head coach. North Texas: With Mike Ekeler leaving for North Carolina, sources tell FootballScoop the Mean Green will promote assistant head coach/safeties coach Troy Reffett to defensive coordinator. Reffett served as co-defensive coordinator in 2016. North Texas also plans to hire former Cincinnati co-defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Jeff Koonz to coach linebackers.

Copiah-Lincoln (JC - MS): Copiah-Lincoln Community College located in Wesson, MS has an opening for an offensive skill coach. Job duties include but are not limited to: coaching a position, recruiting, and teaching. Qualifications/Experience: Master’s Degree, collegiate coaching experience, and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. The successful candidate must have the ability to recruit, coach, and teach highly talented student-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment. San Francisco 49ers: Mike LaFleur will leave the Falcons staff to become the 49ers' wide receivers coach, according to Alex Marvez. His brother, Matt LaFleur, coached quarterbacks for the Falcons last season and is now the Rams' offensive coordinator.

Army: Source tells FootballScoop Jeff Monken is promoting defensive quality control Josh Christian-Young to corners coach. Prior to joining the Army staff Christian-Young has previously coached corners at both Georgia Southern and Central Missouri.

Edinboro (D-II - PA): Source tells FootballScoop offensive coordinator Chris Limbach has been promoted to assistant head coach and coaches Colin Neely and Wayne Bradford will serve as co-defensive coordinators.

Carroll University (D-III - WI): Eliot Fields has been named assistant defensive coordinator of the program. Fields wrapped up his playing career with the program in 2013 and spent the past three seasons coaching with the Pioneers on both sides of the ball. We understand that Fields will continue to coach the defensive backs and will also have special teams assignments.

ASA College (JC - NY): ASA College is looking to fill open dates in 2017 on the following dates; 8/25 or 8/26, 9/2, 9/30, and 10/21 or 10/22. Would prefer to play fellow Junior Colleges. Willing to travel. Interested programs can contact head coach Joe Osovet at coachosovet@asa.edu.

Wake Forest: Source tells FootballScoop Sam Houston State defensive coordinator Brad Sherrod plans to accept the linebackers position at Wake Forest. Sherrod is quite familiar with the recruiting area having played and coached at Duke and has also coached at both Western Carolina and as defensive coordinator at Elon.

Notre Dame College (D-II - OH): Notre Dame College has an immediate opening for an offensive intern. The intern will work with their own position group (WRs) and report directly to the offensive coordinator and the head football coach. In addition to coaching a position, the intern will have a designated recruiting area as well as duties assigned by the head coach and coordinator. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree as well as college playing experience. Kansas: Running backs coach Tony Hull, who was recently promoted to associate head coach, is getting a pay bump from the $150,000 he earned last year (his first at Kansas), to $400,000, per Tom Keegan.

Denver Broncos: Assistant defensive backs coach Samson Brown has decided not to follow Wade Phillips to the LA Rams as originally reported and will stay in Denver, per Alex Marvez.

North Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop North Texas defensive coordinator Mike Ekeler is expected to join North Carolina's staff in a co-defensive coordinator role. Carolina currently does not have an opening, but sources have indicated for some time Gene Chizik is considering stepping back from coaching, with a move into TV a strong possibility.

Iowa State: Iowa State is no longer accepting applicants for their defensive graduate assistant job. Thank you for the overwhelming response.

Lindenwood-Belleville (NAIA - IL): Sources tell FootballScoop thatJohn Leister, the former Alma College (D-III - MI) athletic director and longtime offensive coordinator at Alma, has joined the staff as offensive coordinator.

Mendocino College (JC - CA): Mendocino College has announced that they will be ending their football program.

Lindsey Wilson (NAIA - KY): Lindsey Wilson College is accepting applications for a full-time offensive assistant coach. The position will likely be working with Tight Ends or Running Backs. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. South Florida: Former Carol City (FL) defensive coordinator / associate head coach Damon Cogdell is joining the USF staff, per JT Wilcox. Cogdell previously served as the co-defensive line coach at West Virginia.

Miles College (D-II - AL): Running backs coach Teddy Keaton has added the title of recruiting coordinator, per source.

LSU: Outside linebackers coach Dennis Johnson has a two-year deal and will earn $180,000 annually, per The Advocate. Johnson worked as a graduate assistant last season and was promoted following the departure of Les Miles.

Eastern Michigan: Per source, Delbert Tyler has joined the EMU staff as a defensive graduate assistant. Tyler spent last season as a defensive graduate assistant at Findlay (D-II - OH).

Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Corey Fipps has now been formally introduced as the program's new head coach.

Atlanta Falcons: Bryant Young is expected to join the Falcons as defensive line coach, per ESPN. Young is the former defensive line coach at Florida from 2011-2013, where he worked with Dan Quinn.

Findlay (D-II - OH): Per source, Mickey McGuire has joined the staff as a defensive graduate assistant after spending last year in a student assistant role following his player career with the Oilers.

Bethel (D-III - MN): Sources tell FootballScoop that Bethel has posted their defensive coordinator job.

Siena Heights (NAIA - MI): Siena Heights is looking for a game September 2nd, 2017. If interested, please contact Director of Football Operations Noah Bohl at Nbohl@sienaheights.edu.

Lindsey Wilson (NAIA - KY): Lindsey Wilson College is accepting applications for a restricted earnings assistant football coach. The position will be assisting in the defensive backfield. Responsibilities include on-field coaching, recruiting, video editing, assisting with the strength and conditioning program, and other duties within the football program. Compensation includes housing, meals, and a $500 monthly stipend.
