Texas State: Source tells FootballScoop, Everett Withers plans to hire Sam Houston State defensive backs coach Troy Douglas to fill John Wiley's spot on the staff. Withers and Douglas were named FootballScoop Defensive Backs Coaches of the Year in 2009 while together at University of North Carolina.

Bethel (NAIA - TN): Bethel University, TN; member of the NAIA and the Mid-South Conference has an immediate opening for a Full Time Assistant Coach. The position will begin as soon as possible and will be responsible for coaching an Offensive Skill Position. Experience playing the position is required. Strength and Conditioning experience along with knowledge of using HUDL will be strongly considered. Tom Herman: Following a report linking him to the Baylor job, Tom Herman told the Houston Chronicle's Joseph Duarte, "Reports of contact between me and any other schools are completely ridiculous and totally false."

NBC Sports: Sidleine reporter Heather Cox has left ESPN to work sidelines for NBC's Thursday Night Football broadcasts.

Rutgers: Offensive assistant / player development assistant Kevin Burke has accepted the offensive coordinator position at Poly Prep HS (NY), source tells FootballScoop. Prior to Rutgers, Burke was an offensive assistant at Maine Maritime Academy. Rutgers is also seeking to hire a new head trainer.

Bethany College (WV): We are told the corners position at Bethany remains open at this time.

Juniata College (D-III - PA): Juniata College is seeking applicants for an assistant football coach to join its staff. Preference will be given to applicants with experience coaching or playing with the Offensive Line or Linebackers. The position will report to the Head Football Coach, and duties will include coaching, recruiting, and academic monitoring. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must. Prospective applicant will coach own position group, run meetings, contribute to video breakdown and weekly game plans. Experience with Hudl digital editing system is a plus. Knowledge of and adherence to Juniata College, NCAA Division III, and Centennial Conference rules and regulations are also required. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing/coaching experience at the collegiate level. Position will start on August 1, 2016. Employment will continue through the 2016 season. Compensation includes $4,000 stipend and limited meals. No housing or benefits are included. Stonehill College (D-II - MA): Stonehill College has hired Anthony Tokarz as their quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator. He previously coached the wide receivers at Stonehill prior to coaching at Memphis and Sacred Heart (FCS - CT).

New Mexico Military (JC): Robert Rodriguez, the offensive line coach at Western New Mexico (D-II) has accepted the offensive line job per source.

Kentucky Christian (NAIA): Kentucky Christian University has an immediate opening for a qualified linebacker coach. MUST have LB coaching experience. Meals and housing provided. Stipend will be discussed with potential candidates. Please contact Steve Barrows at

Reedley (JC - CA): Reedley College has openings at DL and LB positions on staff. These are stipend positions with no other benefits. The stipend ranges from 5,000-11,000 depending on experience.
