Bob Stoops: A Coaching Eulogy

Minnesota Vikings: College scouting assistant Kelly Kleine has been promoted to college scouting coordinator reports Alex Marvez.

Charlotte: Charlie Skalaski has been promoted to special teams coordinator, filling the full-time opening created when defensive line coach Aaron Curry resigned last week. Head coach Brad Lambert will coach the defensive line himself. Skalaski served as an analyst for Charlotte in 2016. In 2015, the long-time coach was associate head coach / recruiting coordinator / receivers at Eastern Kentucky.

Bowling Green: Former Kansas State player Collin Sexton has been hired as director of football operations at Bowling Green. Sexton had worked for Learfield Sports the past year at Bowling Green.

MIT (D-III - MA): Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a nationally recognized university in Cambridge, MA, invites applicants for an intern assistant coach position from August until January. Duties include, but are not limited to, coaching an offensive position, assisting with practice and game planning, film breakdown, academic monitoring, recruiting and any other duties assigned by the head coach. Previous coaching and/or playing experience required. Compensation for the position will be a stipend of $4,000. Ave Maria (NAIA): Ave Maria University is looking to fill their defensive line coaching position. The position comes with an $11,000 yearly stipend, as well as housing and a meal plan. New Research: Drill Work that Validates the QB’s Eyes in RPOs:For Albion College (MI), whose entire system is over 70 percent RPOs, a lot is placed on the QB to make the right pre-snap and post-snap diagnosis. Which is why QB’s coach Stephen Wasil organizes his drill work around four main target areas: getting the ball out quickly on screens, reading LBs on screens and quick game as well as reading the secondary for third level RPOs. Ottawa (NAIA - KS): Per source, Curran White, who was formerly the offensive coordinator at Concordia Nebraska, has been named offensive coordinator for the program.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III):The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Football Program is seeking an opponent for a home/home series in 2018 & 2019. UMHB is looking to host the 2018 game on September 8, 2018. All interested programs please contact Josh Gonzales at jegonzales@mail.umhb.edu. NCAA Division III programs preferred.
