Tusculum (D-II - TN): Former Valdosta State (D-II - GA) corners coach Larry Murphy is joining the staff as defensive backs coach, per source.

XFL: Justin King, who has been the assistant recruiting coordinator for James Franklin at Penn State the last two seasons, is leaving to become manager of football operations for the XFL, according to PennLive.

Monmouth (FCS - NJ): Kevin Callahan has been hired to coach the receivers and David Kunyz has been hired to coach the defensive line. Callahan coached the running backs at Lafayette (FCS - PA) last season, and Kunyz was the defensive coordinator at Alderson Broaddus (D-II - WV) last season.

Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals have announced the additions of Mark Duffner and (senior defensive assistant) and Gerald Chatman (defensive assistant). Duffner spent the past three seasons coaching the linebackers for the Buccaneers and Chatman spent the past two seasons coaching the defensive ends / outside linebackers at Tennessee State (FCS).

Savannah State (FCS - GA): Savannah State has taken the interim tag off Shawn Quinn and he will lead the program moving forward.

Eastern Illinois (FCS): Omar Young has been hired to coach the running backs after spending the past two seasons as an offensive quality control coach for the Packers.

McNeese State (FCS - LA): McNeese State University is looking to fill 3 VOLUNTEER quality control positions. One position will be devoted strictly to Recruiting, while the other two positions will be Offensive/Video QC and a Defensive/Video QC. These positions are strictly voluntary – there will be NO HOUSING, NO MEALS and NO COMPENSATION. We are looking for individuals that are highly motivated and are looking to gain experience in this profession. Applicants with experience in DVSport will be highly considered. Utah: Kyle Whittingham's new deal will bump his pay to $4 million a year with $200,000 annual raises, tweets Steve Berkowitz. He made just under $3.8 million in 2018. Additionally, Whittingham can take in a $25,000 bonus if the program remains within its budget, and more if it comes in at least $50,000 under budget.

Paying players: A Congressman from North Carolina plans to introduce a bill that would allow athletes to profit from their name, image and likeness.

Miami: The program has officially announced the addition of Andy Vaughn as director of player personnel, David Cooney has been promoted to director of recruiting, and DeMarcus Van Dyke will now serve as assistant director of recruiting. Also, Tyler Stevens has been promoted to coordinator / player personnel, Joel Rodriguez's title is now senior quality control analyst / offense and Mike Zuckerman has been promoted to senior quality control analyst / defense.

West Georgia (D-II): Roosevelt Maggitt is joining the staff as defensive line coach, per source. Maggitt spent the past four seasons on Tom Herman's staff at Houston and Texas in graduate assistant / analyst roles.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III - TX): The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will be looking to fill a strictly OFF-field graduate assistant position responsible for coordinating academics for the athletes in the football program. Arkansas Tech (D-II): Bo Atterberry, who had been named the head coach of the program back in December, has resigned due to health reasons. Details here.

Baylor: Jordan Burgess is joining Baylor's creative team as football visual media specialist, per source.

Mississippi College (D-II): Charles Wason Jr., who had been coaching the defensive line at Victoria East HS (TX), has joined the program as defensive line coach, per source.

Alabama: Nick Saban is reportedly adding an intriguing lieutenant to his army of analysts.

Texas A&M: Ole Miss senior defensive analyst Ishmael Aristide will join the Aggies' defensive staff, sources tell FootballScoop.

Johns Hopkins (D-III - MD): Harrison Green, who previously served as the program's special teams coordinator, is taking over as defensive coordinator.

Gardner-Webb (FCS - NC): Per source, Tusculum (D-II - TN) wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator JJ Laster has joined the staff and will coach the running backs and tight ends.

Hudson Valley CC (JC - NY): Don Jones has been named head coach, per source.

Harvard (FCS - MA): Harvard is looking to fill a Quality Control position with responsibilities in football operations and recruiting support. This is an entry level or above position. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, college football staff experience with strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, and digital skills including Photoshop. Independence CC (JC - KS): Per source, outside linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Steve McCollom has added recruiting coordinator duties.

FCS Defensive Coordinator - “Those concepts scare the hell out of me”:"QB Flop Runs" as they are called (when the A-Back and QB switch responsibilities) are giving defensive coordinators fits at all levels for good reason: Interior run concepts with the A back as the lead blocker are giving numbers back to the offense. And when mixed with perimeter run action like jet sweep, they promote "dirty eyes" to box defenders who often lose gap integrity. “It’s not just 11-on-11, but now it’s 11-on-11 with gap schemes. And when you get RPOs attached, it's like pick your poison," reported one FCS defensive coordinator to X&O Labs. Northern State (D-II - SD): Northern State is seeking applicants for an offensive graduate assistant coaching position. The successful candidate will coach tight ends and assist with the offensive line. Responsibilities include coaching a position, managing a recruiting territory, coordinating on-campus visits, hudl video, scouting reports/breakdowns and other duties assigned by the head coach. Position includes tuition waiver and stipend, with the opportunity for additional income available. Admission to the Northern State University Graduate School (minimum GPA of 2.75) is required. Playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Position begins July 15, 2019. Virginia Lynchburg (NCCAA): Virginia Lynchburg is looking for games on the weekends of 9/14 and 11/2. Ideally looking for home games. All levels considered. Also looking for a game 11/6 away against an FCS program with a guarantee, but would be interested in discussing a possible home game at Virginia Lynchburg. East Stroudsburg (D-II - PA):East Stroudsburg is looking for a week 1 game in 2020. We would prefer a multi-year deal with a Division II on the east coast. Interested programs can contact linebackers coach Chadd Braine at cbraine@esu.edu.

Southern Utah (FCS): Southern Utah University is immediately accepting applications for an unpaid special teams quality control coach. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, film breakdown, data entry, assisting with game preparation and other duties assigned by the head coach and special teams coordinator. Candidates should possess a working knowledge of, or be capable of learning the functions with HUDL, Excel, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Power Point. Position will report to head football coach and special teams coordinator. This is an unpaid, entry-level position. Anticipated candidates are individuals who are trying to begin a career in the coaching profession. This position will provide valuable experience and references for future opportunities. Westminster (D-III - MO): Westminster College has an immediate opening for a Wide Receiver Intern. This is a 10 month non-exempt position that provides no benefits. Position compensation is $300.00 per month for 10 months (August 1 to May 31) housing is included (cable tv, utilities, internet etc.). Responsibilities would include: coaching wide receivers, recruiting a specified territory, assisting in strength and conditioning program, HUDL operations, Front Rush operations, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
