Washington Redskins: General manager Scot McCloughan has been relieved of duties, effective immediately.

LSU: University of Sioux Falls offensive line coach John Decoster has joined the LSU staff as offensive line grad assistant source tells FootballScoop.

Tennessee: Liberty assistant director of player personnel Brett Thiesen will join the UT staff as assistant director of recruiting, source tells FootballScoop.

Boise State: Brad Bedell, who worked with Bryan Harsin at Arkansas State before going on to coach at Lamar (FCS - TX) and Texas State, has been hired to coach the offensive line, per Jay Tust. Bedell spent last season as an assistant DFO at Baylor.

Guardian Caps: “I see that big time colleges are using Guardian Caps – are they just ignoring the liability?” – HS Coach in Ohio. No, absolutely not. They’ve cleared it through their administrators and have discovered that the liability exposure of the program is the same whether or not they’re using the caps for practice. A competing manufacturer might imply that there’s more risk, but that’s just not the case.

Oklahoma State: An OSU spokesman told the Tulsa World Mike Gundy's 2-year extension, which was announced and approved nine months ago, is "awaiting final signatures." The new deal would keep Gundy in Stillwater through 2021 at a $4.15 million salary.

FIU: The addition of wide receivers coach Aubrey Hill is now official.

Georgia: Defensive coordinator Mel Tucker has earned a raise to $900,000 annually after making $850,000 last season, per Seth Emerson, who adds that offensive line coach Sam Pittman has also got a $10,000 pay bump to $660,000 for this season, and inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann is getting a raise of $25,000 to $275,000 annually. Also, defensive line coach Tray Scott, in his first season with the program, will make $400,000.

Dayton (FCS - OH): Dayton is currently accepting applications for an intern position working with the wide receivers. The coach will assist in recruiting quality football student-athletes; will assist the head coach in leadership, such as team composition, competition strategies and development of the passing game and peak performance; will engage in team operations, including travel arrangements and video needs; and will perform additional duties related to coaching (e.g., compliance education, budget management, fund raising/donor relations, equipment procurement, and other duties as assigned by head coach). This internship begins August 1, 2017, is a full time, 9-month position with full benefits and has a one-year optional renewal. Required qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree, collegiate coaching and/or playing experience at the wide receiver position, and a valid driver’s license, with a low-risk record and is able to be certified by the university. Preferred qualifications: Demonstrated good organizational, interpersonal and basic computer skills, experienced in working collegiate sports camps, experienced in video editing, and experienced in strength training. We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated, detail oriented, communicate effectively (verbally and written) and have the ability to problem solve. This position will be in charge of all offensive administrative work, assisting in the preparation of game planning material and film breakdown. This position will assist with the development of a position group which will be determined by the offensive coordinator, as well as assisting our recruiting department. Augustana (D-II - SD): Augustana has an immediate opening for an assistant football coach-defensive coordinator. The position is a full-time, full-benefits appointment with a limited teaching assignment in the human performance department and other duties assigned by the head coach. Texas A&M: Texas A&M is looking to hire an audiovisual specialist. The Audiovisual Specialist is responsible for creating video content (plan, shoot, edit and execute videos, including highlight packages) for Texas A&M Football Recruiting and Staff, football specific events, as well as the many social media platforms of Texas A&M Football. Required education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of experience shooting/editing video and creating multimedia content. Preferred education and experience: Three years editing and shooting video, preferably in a collegiate sports environment. High proficiency working in Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, as well as AVID programs. Graphic design knowledge or experience is a plus. Basic knowledge of editing programs and production. Working knowledge of different video camera types. Sports background, plus interviewing skills. Framingham State (D-III - MA): Danvers HS (MA) head coach Shawn Theriault has joined the staff as the defensive backs coach.

Cal Poly (FCS): Associate head coach Jim Craft has been named offensive coordinator and will move from wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator and will now work with the offensive line. In addition, running backs coach Aristotle Thompson has been named assistant head coach, Dan Ferrigno has been named special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach, Dano Graves will coach the quarterbacks, and Randy Stewart will work with the secondary.

Harvard (FCS - MA): Mickey Fein, the former offensive coordinator at Lafayette (FCS - PA), is the new wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator, per source.

Pac-12: Commissioner Larry Scott has agreed to a contract extension through 2022, per a report from Pete Thamel.

Concord (D-II - WV): Former Tennessee offensive line coach and run game coordinator Don Mahoney has been hired at Concord as the offensive coordinator, per source.

Aurora (D-III - IL): Aurora University is seeking applications for a full-time offensive line coaching position. Playing or coaching experience at offensive line on the collegiate level is required. Minimum 2-years collegiate coaching experience is preferred. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with Division III experience. Responsibilities will include: run game coordinator, on field coaching, practice and game preparation, on road recruiting, academic support, and other duties as assigned by Head Football coach and Athletic Director.
