Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles have picked up an option on head coach Doug Pederson's contract, making his original four-year deal now a five-year deal with Pederson signed through 2020, according to Tom Pelissero's tweet.

LSU: LSU is paying its 10 analysts a combined $595,000 in salary, according to Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. The individual salaries center around the $50-60,000 range but vary from $76,500 on the high end to $30,000 on the low end.

Sports Illustrated: Peter King, SI senior writer for 29 years, will be leaving Sports Illustrated at the end of this month. Richard Deitsch adds he expects King to begin to work "more full-time with NBC Sports" going forward.

Georgia: Kirby Smart's new contract is in and, yep, the man got paid.

UAB: Jody Wright has now formally been named the offensive line coach and assistant head coach for the program. Wright previously worked with the Blazers as running backs coach in 2014, and Wright most recently served as the director of player personnel at Alabama from 2015-2017.

Tom Herman and Tight Ends—4 Days at Texas Football: X&O Labs’ Senior Research Manager, Mike Kuchar, spent four days with the coaching staff at Texas. He went to Texas specifically because they not only utilize their tight ends, but also rely on them. After all, this is where head coach Tom Herman’s 11 personnel offensive system produced three NFL caliber tight ends in his 12 years as an offensive coordinator. Shippensburg (D-II - PA): Shippensburg University is currently seeking to hire a full-time Offensive Coordinator/Quarterback coach who is well organized and coaches with passion. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-teaching position. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success and the ability to relate to those student-athletes; compliance with University, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; player development; scouting; budget management; fundraising; staff oversight; and other duties assigned by the head football coach. Responsible for coordinating the offense and coaching the quarterbacks. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of collegiate coaching experience. A Master’s degree and experience in offensive coordinating and quarterback coaching is preferred. Applicants must possess effective communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population. Successful performance in an on-campus interview is required. LSU: The Tigers and Ed Orgeron are planning some major facilities upgrades.

San Diego: Joe Staab has returned to the staff as linebackers coach. Staab previously served on USD's staff after playing there. He then went on to coach at San Jose State, with the San Francisco 49ers and at Notre Dame College.

Bruce Arians: The former Cardinals head coach who recently retired from coaching will work alongside the CBS team of Greg Gumbel and Trent Green in the booth.

Miami: The Canes have extended Mark Richt's contract through the 2023 season. In two seasons leading his alma mater, Richt has gone 19-7 overall, including a 10-3 mark this past fall. In 17 seasons leading programs at Georgia and Miami, Richt owns a career record of 164-58.

Campbell (FCS - NC): Emory & Henry (D-III - VA) running backs coach Matt Kardulis has accepted the defensive quality control / linebackers job at Campbell, per source.

Monday Night Football: Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has informed Dallas ownership that he has made the final decision to retire and will join the ESPN team as an analyst for Monday Night Football, per Todd Archer.

Juniata (D-III - PA): Juniata College is seeking qualified applicants for a Defensive Intern level position as Assistant Football Coach. This position will report to Head Football Coach and duties will include coaching, recruiting, and academic monitoring. Additional duties may be assigned by the Head Coach or the Director of Athletics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience/coaching experience at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to applicants with experience coaching or playing defensive back or linebacker at the college level and recruiting. Strong communication skills and ability to recruit high academic and quality student-athletes is a must. Experience with Hudl digital editing system is a plus. Prospective applicant’s responsibilities would include administrative duties in game week organization and preparation, video breakdown of games and practices, opponent scout, creating tendency reports and planning/conducting summer camps. Will have own on-field coaching responsibilities and recruiting area. Knowledge of and adherence to Juniata College, NCAA division III, and Centennial Conference rules and regulations are also required. This position has a starting date of immediately.
