Purdue: Responding to social media rumors, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi told the Pittsburgh Tribune, "We don't need to talk about that, but I can tell you it a'int happening. You can take that to the bank."
Keiser University (NAIA - FL): The school, which announced the addition of a football program two weeks ago, has named a search committee that will undertake the search for the program's first head coach. The search committee will consist of former Miami, Louisville, Oklahoma and FAU head coach Howard Schnellenberger, Gregg Wallick (chairman of the board of trustees), Rob Conrad (CEP of Alterna Financial), and Dr. Gary Vonk (President of the Flagship Campus). First official game for the program is anticipated for the Fall of 2018.
#Nuggets: Ed Orgeron has completely transformed LSU's approach and attack. But now he has to prove it'll work against the best.
Early signing: Dan Mullen, the coaches' representative on the NCAA's Division I Football Oversight Committee, has come down against his own committee's early signing proposal. This is pretty much peak NCAA.
Midwestern State (D-II - TX):Midwestern State University has three openings on the schedule for the 2017 season. The dates are 9/2/17, 9/9/17 and 9/22/17. We are willing to pay a guarantee or play a home and home. Please contact Head Coach, Bill Maskill at email@example.com if interested.
Malzahn's Sugar: Ironically, many no huddle coaches have found advantages in the form of using a "sugar" huddle in order to infuse panic at defenses. The huddle itself is a quick gathering of offensive personnel at or around the line of scrimmage with the intention of keeping the defense off guard. Tommy Shoemaker, the head coach at Central Arkansas Christian School (AR), studied the same four concepts Gus Malzahn was using in his sugar huddle system and has implemented them into his own tempo package, which he details in this exclusive clinic report on XandOLabs.com. Read the report here.
St. Augustine (D-II - NC):St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC has two openings on the schedule for the 2017 season. On 9/2/17 we are willing to travel to an FCS opponent and on 9/16/17 we need a home game. Interested programs can contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
