Dallas Cowboys: ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler asked Jerry Jones today why Jason Garrett is the right coach to dig Dallas out of an 0-3 hole, "Well first of all he's got a lot of great coaching qualities; but nobody has them all. To some degree we have invested a lot of money in the evolving of Jason as a head coach....there's a lot of things that make him A+ across the board. You've got to look at the entire picture, and now he's evolved into maybe to win some Super Bowls." Jones offered. When asked how close he thinks the Cowboys are to doing that, "Well I don't know, I certainly wouldn't have him as our coach this year if I didn't think he was capable of winning a Super Bowl."

Pacific (D-III - OR): Offensive line coach Ian Falconer will be promoted to head coach following this season the school has decided. Head coach Keith Buckley will move into the athletic director role following the 2019-20 academic year upon the retirement of Ken Schumann. Buckley has served as head coach the past ten seasons. Buckley noted in a release: "From the very beginning of Boxer football's return to Pacific, Coach Falconer has been my righthand man and a trusted advisor in building a program that the university community would be proud of on and off the field. I am excited to turn the program over to Ian and know that his drive, energy and proven recruiting success will positively push the football team forward into the future." Falconer has been instrumental in the development of the program, serving key roles in developing recruiting strategies, game planning as the offensive line coach, and in strength and conditioning.
