Army: Army has announced a "multi-year" extension for head coach Jeff Monken. Length of the extension and financial terms were not disclosed. Monken is in his fourth season at West Point; his 8-5 season in 2016 was the Black Knights' best finish since 1996 -- including the academy's first win over Navy since 2001 -- and his current 5-game winning streak is the program's longest in two decades.

American: The American is moving a bunch of games around to reschedule the postponed South Florida-Connecticut game. The league is also working to reschedule Memphis-Central Florida as well. Click here to see the new schedule, and put your thinking cap on.

New Research: IZ Leverage Drills to Block 1st/2nd Level Defenders -Because Wisconsin Lutheran College struggles with having consistently bigger offensive linemen they’ve adjusted their inside zone schemes to fit their spread offensive personnel. Widening the A gaps up to three feet and stretching the B gaps up to 4 feet at times has forced defenses to quickly define themselves, putting the OL in advantageous leverage positions. Now IZ concepts have become man-to-man situations with very few double teams. In X&O Labs clinic report, Offensive Line Coach Mike Fossum details the drill work he uses daily to work proper leverage on zone blocks at the first and second level.Click here to read the report.

Miles College (D-II - AL): Please join us in praying for the family of defensive line coach Tony Oglesby, who passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 53. Ogelsby was a member of the staff since 2011 and was instrumental in two conference titles.

Midwest Prep (Postgrad - Rantoul, IL): Midwest Prep has had an unexpected opening and is now looking for JV, Prep, or JUCO games this weekend September 17-18 OR the weekend of September 30-October 1st. We can travel and will consider anything in a 4 hour radius. If interested, please call Coach Marques Sullivan or email at
