East Tennessee State: Carl Torbush has announced former Tennessee Tech assistant Matt Forrest as new director of football operations for the Buccaneers.

Rob Ryan: Rob Ryan, who spent last season as the assistant head coach / defense for the Buffalo Bills and was the Saints and Cowboys defensive coordinator prior to that, said on The Herd today that he'd be interested in a college coaching job. Rob's last stop at the college level was from 1997-99 as the defensive coordinator at Oklahoma State.

Steve Sarkisian: Per Nathan Fenno, the final arbitration hearing between Sark and USC has been postponed to February due to conflicts with Sark's schedule. Sarkisian, who was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons during the offseason, sued USC in December of 2015 over his firing and the case was ordered to binding arbitration.

AstroTurf: AstroTurf is pleased to welcome Rob Reeves to its staff in a dual role as Regional Manager and Director of College Football Sales. Rob brings a wealth of college football knowledge and experience to his new career in the artificial turf industry. Most recently, Reeves coached running backs & tight ends at Minnesota the past six seasons. Reeves also has coached at NIU, SIU and Emporia State.

Penn State: The Penn State compensation committee is meeting Friday and Bruce Feldman adds that one of the items being discussed in that meeting is James Franklin's contract extension. Athletic director Sandy Barbour has noted a number of times the past few months that details of Franklin's extension are being ironed out and that keeping him at Penn State is a priority.

Central Michigan: Michigan assistant recruiting coordinator Albert Karschnia been hired as director of player personnel.
