Youngstown State (FCS - OH): Offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo is leaving to join the New England Patriots staff as offensive coaching assistant the Vindicator reports.

Kansas City Chiefs: Long-time defensive backs coach Emmitt Thomas has informed the Chiefs he will retire from coaching. Thomas has coached 38 years in the league. Congratulations on a great career Coach.

Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): South Dakota State defensive coordinator Clint Brown has accepted the same position at ACU.

Ohio State: Well, this is awkward -- Ryan Day called Jim Harbaugh to ask for his permission to talk to Greg Mattison.

Northern Illinois: NIU has hired Aaron Wilkins as cornerbacks coach and Travis Moore as defensive ends coach, completing Thomas Hammock's inaugural defensive staff.

St. Thomas (D-III - MN): University of St. Thomas has a full-time opening for a special teams coordinator/position coach. Review of applicants will begin immediately, and continue until position is filled. Email head coach Glenn Caruso at football@stthomas.edu if interested.

Bemidji State (D-II - MN): Bemidji State University is seeking applicants for a restricted earnings coach, with OLB / Nickel preference. This is an adjunct faculty position with an annual stipend of $5,000. Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required. Previous coaching or playing experience preferred. Discounted tuition on graduate school will also be available if interested. Off-campus jobs to supplement the stipend are available for those interested and can help substantially. Chicago Bears: The team has announced the addition of Chris Jackson as a defensive assistant. Jackson most recently served as the receivers coach at Liberty HS (Peoria, AZ) and worked with the Bears during training camp in 2018 as a part of the NFL's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program.

Arizona Cardinals: Don Shumpert, who worked as an offensive analyst last season with the Giants, is joining the staff as a participant of the Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship program and Dolphins quality control coach Rusty McKinney has been named a defensive assistant.

Florida Tech: Per source, inside linebackers coach Aaron Archie and defensive backs coach Brian Vaughn have added the co-defensive coordinator title to replace defensive coordinator Rick Minter, who is now a part of the Birmingham Iron (AAF) staff. Also, Liam Smith will now coach the outside linebackers with newly added JB Lageman now working with the defensive line, per source.

Cincinnati: Army defensive line coach Chad Wilt has been announced to the same position at Cincinnati.

North Park (D-III - IL): North Park University is accepting applications for the position of full-time assistant coach. The chosen candidate will coach either Offensive Line or Quarterbacks, based on best fit. This 12-month benefit-eligible position includes, but is not limited to, assisting with all phases of a successful Division III Football program. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education. Organization, attention to detail, and a proven track record with recruiting are essential. Furman (FCS - SC): Per source, outside linebackers coach Duane Vaughn has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Kentucky: Mark Stoops told Kentucky Sports Radio on Tuesday that he will consider hiring his brother Mike Stoops as his new defensive coordinator. Mike agreed late last month to join Alabama's staff as an analyst.

FIU: Defensive coordinator Brent Guy is stepping away from football to take care of personal responsibilities the program has announced. "The FIU family wishes Brent and his family the very best for the future."

Notre Dame: The Irish have formally announced Lance Taylor as their new running backs coach.

Cincinnati Christian (NAIA - OH): Cincinnati Christian University is looking for a home game on 9/14/2019. There is a possibility of a return trip if dates can match up. Interested programs can contact head coach Trevor Zeiders at trevor.zeiders@ccuniversity.edu.

Cincinnati Bengals: Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham is interviewing for the Bengals defensive coordinator position today, Adam Schefter tweets.

Carolina Panthers: Ben Jacobs is the new assistant special teams coach, per Joe Person.

Memphis: Tim Edwards, who coached the defensive line at Buffalo the past few seasons, has been announced as defensive line coach.

Indiana State (FCS): Head coach Curt Mallory has agreed to an extension through the 2023 season. The Sycamores improved from 0-11 to 7-4 in 2018.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Kevon Beckwith has joined the staff as defensive line coach after spending last season on the Louisiana-Lafayette staff as a defensive graduate assistant.

Kansas City Chiefs: Kentucky defensive coordinator Matt House has now flipped back and will leave Kentucky to become linebackers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs the University has now confirmed.

Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons have moved pro scout Bob Kronenberg to assistant offensive line coach, per the AJC. Kronenberg has been with the organization the past eight seasons and prior to that spent seven season with the Georgia Force (AFL) as an assistant coach and defensive coordinator.

Oregon: Penn State assistant director of player personnel Kenny Sanders has left to become the director of recruiting at Oregon.

Saint Anselm (D-II - NH): Saint Anselm College is looking for a restricted earnings offensive skill position. The responsibilities for the position include coaching a position, recruiting , film breakdown, graphic design and any other responsibilities designated by the head coach. This is an entry level position that carries a 12 month contract. This position does not carry any benefits. VMI (FCS): Kyle Jolly has joined the staff as offensive line coach, and Marshall Roberts will serve as pass game coordinator / defensive backs coach, per source.

Ole Miss: Defensive backs coach Jason Jones has been relieved of his duties.

Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University (D-II) (member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference) is looking for an Offensive graduate assistant (RB or WR). Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA) and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes a $2000 stipend during spring football, which can turn into an $8,000/year and Full-Tuition waiver during the 2019-20 school year. Minorities are encouraged to apply. Faulkner (NAIA - AL): Former Jacksonville State (FCS - AL) player Robert Grady has joined the staff as defensive backs coach, per source. Grady previously held positions at UAB, Jacksonville State and Mobile Christian (AL).

William Jewell (D-II - MO): Per source, head coach Shawn Weigel has been let go and defensive coordinator Chuck Lliteras will take over as interim head coach.

Geneva (D-III - PA): Geneva College is looking to a hire a graduate assistant. Assistant must be accepted to the Higher Education Masters Program. Candidates must have a Christian statement of faith and some experience either playing or coaching in the triple option offense. A one third tuition discount and $5500 stipend is included. Please email head coach Geno DeMarco at gdemarco@geneva.edu.

Holy Cross (FCS – MA): Holy Cross is currently accepting applications for two volunteer quality control assistants. There is housing and some meals attached to the positions, but no stipend. We are seeking candidates who are looking to gain experience working within a Division 1 football program. Ideal candidates will have a passion for football, a relentless work ethic, and a desire to learn. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: video upload, operational tasks assigned by the Head Coach, opponent film breakdown/reports, and game week preparation. Candidates should be adept at learning new technology, in addition to being skilled in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and XOS.
