Longtime college and and high school coach Pat Dooley passed away recently. Please join us in keeping him in your prayers. Coach Dooley coached at Tiffin (D-II - OH), Webber International (NAIA - FL), Warner University (NAIA - FL), and at Auburndale HS, George Jenkins HS, and Plant City HS.

Dana Holgorsen: Houston coaches tend to leave quickly -- either for another job or the unemployment line. Dana Holgorsen told his new Cougars players he plans to buck that trend.

Louisiana College (D-III): Louisiana College is looking to immediately hire a running back/fullback coach. The position has a salary of $8,000, dorm room, and potential meal plan. Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree, offensive coaching experience, and experience with HUDL. In addition to on the field coaching duties, the position also includes study hall duties, class checks, assist in the equipment room and laundry room, and assist the head coach in all duties. Eastern Michigan: The Eastern Michigan football staff is looking to hire a Football Creative Coordinator. Preferred candidates will have experience in graphic design and creative video production.This is part-time position that does not include benefits. Utah State: Mike Favero, a successful coach at the high school level at Logan HS (UT), has joined the staff in an offensive analyst role. Favero, who retired after the 2015 season, won five state titles, eight regional titles, and went 149-60 overall leading the Logan HS program over 17 seasons.

Appalachian State: Appalachian State university is looking for a Manager of Football Creative Media. This is a paid position that does not include benefits. Duties will supervise and oversee App State football program branding and social media, will be responsible for the design, production and distribution of recruiting materials. Must have knowledge of Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, illustrator and after effects. This job is available immediately. New York Jets: The Jets have hired Matt Sheldon as director of football research and strategy. He spent the past two years in the same post with the Miami Dolphins.

LSU: Scott Woodward has announced the hirings of Stephanie Rempe as executive deputy director of athletics, Dan Gaston as senior associate athletic director of facility management and Brandy Douglass as chief of staff. Woodward also promoted Verge Ausberry to executive deputy director of athletics (who netted a nice raise, as previously reported) and Shelly Mullenix to senior associate athletic director of health and wellness.

Gustavus Adolphus College (D-III - MN): Gustavus Adolphus College is searching for a coaching intern who seeks a career in coaching. This is a paid position. Candidate must be able to work full days from August until Mid-December. Daily Duties depend on the applicant’s skill set but there is potential for coaching their own position. ESPN: Tedy Bruschi will join "Sunday NFL Countdown" while Louis Riddick will join the main set and Adam Schefter will join the crew on "Monday Night Countdown," ESPN has announced. Riddick will also call Friday night college football games this fall as a color commentator.

Montana Western (NAIA): The University of Montana Western has an immediate opening for an offensive intern football coach. Compensation includes: on campus apartment, meal plan and 10 month stipend. Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Susquehanna University seeks an assistant football coach working with the Wide Receivers. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing and/or coaching at the college level. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. Salary is $7,500. No housing, but some meals are included. The ability for additional income is available in the off season. Fort Valley State (D-II - GA): Fort Valley State University is currently seeking an offensive line graduate assistant football coach, starting as soon as possible. The positions include a $5,000 stipend, tuition waiver for graduate school, and some meals. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, offensive position (OL) and football operations. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing & highlights, practice organization, student athlete development, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. North Alabama (FCS): The University of North Alabama in Florence, AL is seeking to fill a Graduate Assistant position on the defensive side of the ball.
