Texas A&M: Source tells FootballScoop, Tennessee Titans pro scout Dennis Polian is joining the Texas A&M staff as director of player personnel. We also understand longtime Kevin Sumlin aide Justin Moore is being promoted from associate AD over football, to senior associate AD of Aggie athletics. Alabama: Athletic director Bill Battle has decided to take a leave of absence while he undergoes therapy for stage 1 multiple myeloma cancer. Please join us in keeping Battle in your prayers.

Oklahoma: Bob Stoops has received a new contract with the Sooners that will keep him in charge of the program through 2021. The Norman Transcript reports that Stoops will make $5.5 million in 2016 and adds that it could be more when incentives and bonuses kick in. In addition, a number of Sooners assistants received raises and extensions including OL coach Bill Bedenbaugh (a $50k pay bump and contract extension through 2018), STC / RBs coach Jay Boulware (a $25k bump and contract extension through 2017), DBs coach Kerry Cooks ($25k bump and extended through 2017), assistant HC / inside WRs / director of recruiting Cale Gundy ($25k bump and extension through 2017), inside LBs Tim Kish ($25k bump and extension through 2017), and outside receivers coach Dennis Simmons ($37k bump and extension through 2017).

Wabash College: Olivet Nazarene grad assistant Bryan Watson is joining the Wabash College staff coaching the tight ends, source tells FootballScoop.

Florida: Jim McElwain has formally announced the additions of John Herron as on campus recruiting coordinator, and Ryan Smith as assistant director of recruiting.

Alabama: Alabama has now released updated salary info for each of their top 1o assistants.

Gustavus Adolphus (D-III - MN): Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a defensive assistant coach. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to on the field coaching, game planning, film breakdown, and assisting with recruiting. Compensation includes a small stipend ($4,000), no meals, housing or benefits. This is a 5-month full time position starting in August and ending in December. UW-Stevens Point (D-III):The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is looking for a home and home game for the 2018-19 football seasons. We have multiple openings during the first four weeks of each season - prefer home in 2018 with a return trip in 2019 but have options. Oklahoma: OU's Board of Regents has approved Lincoln Riley's $900,000 annual salary according to John Shinn of the Norman Transcript. Defensive coordinator Mike Stoops's salary will be "virtually the same."

ESPN: Trent Dilfer has reached a multi-year extension with ESPN where he will take on an expanded role, according to MMQB. Dilfer will also join the Sunday NFL Countdown team to work alongside Chris Berman, Matt Hasselbeck, and Charles Woodson. Rumors swirled the past few months that Dilfer would be leaving the network after an eight-year run, but this report puts that to bed.

Alabama: According to AL.com, every assistant coach on Nick Saban's staff except for offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will receive an amended contract today. Kiffin is entering the final year of a three-year deal he signed before the 2014 season and is set to make $714,000 in 2016 and he is still collecting $3.4 million annually from his USC buyout. New assistant coaches joining the staff over the last few months (Jeremy Pruitt, Brent Key, Karl Dunbar and Derrick Ansley) are expected to receive their initial employment contracts today, and the details of strength and conditioning coach Scott Cochran's new deal is expected to be revealed today as well.

Cortland State (D-III – NY): SUNY Cortland is currently seeking an offensive graduate assistant football coach to work with RBs or TEs as well as Special Teams. The candidate will also have their own recruiting area. The position includes a stipend of approximately 6K and two graduate classes in the Fall and Spring semester. No housing or meals are included. Experience playing and coaching is preferred. Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of the football program. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Western Kentucky: Robert Sampson, the assistant director of media relations at TCU, has joined WKU as the assistant director of football operations. Sampson was previously at WKU as the assistant director of athletic communications a few years ago.

Presentation (NAIA - SD): Presentation College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of defensive coordinator. Responsibilities will include coordination of defensive schemes/personnel/staff, coaching a defensive position group, and assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program (practice and game preparation, recruiting, fundraising, video breakdown, camps, equipment, community involvement, and other duties as assigned). The successful candidate will have integrity and respect, excellent interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with all constituents. This is a 12 month salaried position, with benefits. Bachelor’s degree required, with coaching/playing experience preferred. Interviews will begin immediately and will continue until position is filled.
