Bill Blankenship: Former Tulsa head coach Bill Blankenship will take over as the new head coach at Fayetteville HS in Arkansas per Vernon Tarver.

Kentucky: Speaking to Cats Pause, Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart had this to say on Mark Stoops's job status heading into his fourth season: “There is no magic number. No ifs, ands or buts. Mark has a really great heart for his kids and he’s trying really hard to find a way to get past the 4-1 and 5-1 starts and get to the finish line. We all want that and he wants it as bad as anybody. You just have to keep battling."

UCLA: Jim Mora has signed a two-year contract extension taking him through the 2021 season. Mora is 37-13 in four seasons leading the Bruins program, including four straight bowl trips and back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2013 and 2014.

Georgia: Head coach Kirby Smart's new contract includes a clause on "conduct and ethics" that give the university the right to withhold pay from Smart in the case of a material violation of "one of more of the duties, obligations, or expectations...that do not rise to a level warranting termination," according to documents obtained by DawgNation. Smart's contract also includes a clause stating that should he resign, he do it "at a time that will minimize the harm to the team or its recruiting efforts.

Tennessee State (FCS): Tennessee State University is looking for an offensive and defensive analyst for the upcoming season. The position will entail: duties assigned by the offensive / defensive coordinator, assisting a position coach on either side of the ball, data entry (familiarity w/XOS preferred). Denver Broncos: Per source, Humboldt State (D-II - CA) offensive line coach Patrick Walsh has accepted a position in the Broncos pro personnel department.

Allan Hancock College (JC - CA): Seth Damron has accepted the offensive coordinator / offensive line job, per source. Damron spent last season as the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator at Humboldt State (D-II - CA).

Holmes (JC - MS): Holmes Community College has two intern positions. The position will include on the field coaching as well as academic and strength and conditioning responsibilities. The intern positions will pay room and meals. This is a great opportunity to coach at the collegiate level in the best JUCO league in the country. Humboldt State (D-II - CA): Offensive coordinator / assistant head coach Eric Tripp has been named athletic director at Ferndale HS (WA). Tripp had spent the last eight years with the Humboldt State staff and had previously served as an assistant at Western Washington University.

Austin College (D-III - TX): Austin College is currently accepting applications for an assistant football coach. The 10 month position will pay in the mid 20’s, provide housing and include medical benefits. The position will include coaching a position (defense), recruiting, teaching, and game day administration. A Bachelor’s degree (Physical Education or related) is required. Wabash (D-III - IN): Wabash College is seeking an energetic dynamic football / track and field assistant coach to join a highly successful athletics department. The assistant coach will be responsible for coaching tight ends for a nationally-ranked football offense. He will also serve as an assistant track and field coach, preferably as a throws coach, for a championship track and field team. Also, he will recruit qualified prospects for both the football and the track and field programs. While supporting the mission of the college, the assistant coach will be engaged in the life of the college to fully develop the student-athletes under his charge. He will also be expected to adhere to all institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and procedures. A bachelor’s degree is required to be considered for this 12-month position. Northern Illinois: Northern Illinois University is seeking applicants for a volunteer special teams assistant (intern position). We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated, detail oriented, communicate effectively (verbally and written) and have the ability to problem solve. Applicants should have a background in special teams and personnel / recruiting at the collegiate level. Applicants must be proficient in the use of various video software such as DVSport, Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point and Photoshop. Southwest Minnesota State (D-II): Southwest Minnesota State University is looking for a graduate assistant coach working with outside linebackers. Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (3.0 minimum GPA), enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester, and meet the MnSCU vehicle driving qualifications. Compensation package includes $8,000/year and full-tuition waiver. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until filled. Henderson State (D-II - AR): Henderson State is looking to hire a wide receivers coach / instructor. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all facets of the program, including serving as Wide Receivers coach, the recruitment of quality student athletes, organization and planning of all practices, game preparation, film breakdown, and monitoring the academic progress of student athletes. Alma College (D-III - MI): Alma College has an opening for a part-time assistant football coach. This position will work on the offensive side of the ball coaching either QB’s or WR’s. The position will also include other tasks assigned by the Head Coach. The contract is a seasonal position, beginning July 26th and concluding November 30th.
