Hawaii: Northern Colorado (FCS) cornerbacks coach/special teams coordinator Woody Blevins has joined Nick Rolovich's defensive staff at Hawaii, a source tells FootballScoop.

Transfers: The NCAA on Tuesday granted immediate eligibility to Miami quarterback Tate Martell. So, will this open the floodgates to free agency Armageddon? Eh, maybe, maybe not.

Miami (FL): Per source, Edwin Pata, the former head coach at LaSalle HS (FL) and who most recently was on staff at FAMU and FIU, has accepted the role of assistant director of recruiting.

Targeting: Per report, the latest targeting "progressive penalty" is unlikely to pass.

Lindenwood-Belleville (NAIA - IL): Lindenwood University-Belleville is currently looking for 2 graduate assistants. The candidate must be eligible for graduate school admission. Any interested candidates should contact head coach Pat Stewart at pstewart1@lindenwood.edu.

LSU: LSU football is seeking to hire a Football Recruiting Creative Coordinator. The position will focus heavily on designing graphics and developing recruiting content. Georgia: Montgomery VanGorder, a former Notre Dame quarterback and son of Brian VanGorder who spent last season at Youngstown State (FCS) as a graduate transfer, has joined the Georgia staff, Seth Emerson tweets.

Lakeland (D-III - WI): Mitch Shepard, who was a graduate assistant at Arkansas Pine-Bluff (FCS) last season, has joined the staff as linebackers coach, per source.

Benedictine (D-III - IL): Source tells FootballScoop that Rockford University (D-III - IL) head coach Jim Schroeder is expected to become the new head coach at Benedictine. Before landing the Rockford job, Schroeder served as the defensive coordinator at Benedictine for ten seasons.

Kermit Buggs: Former Penn State and Old Dominion assistant Kermit Buggs has been named the head coach at King's Fork HS (Suffolk, VA).

Scholarship offers: Fascinating data shows how many offers were extended by each FBS program. One team offered over 500 players, effectively 1.33 high school athletes offered every single day of the year.

Bucknell (FCS - PA): Michigan State offensive line graduate assistant Blake Treadwell has been announced as the new running backs coach.

Scoop 'Em Up: Napoleon Sykes has been coaching for 13 years, 11 at the collegiate level. He spent the last three as the Outside Linebackers Coach at the United States Naval Academy. During his time there he started a pipeline of recruits from the DMV, landing 20+ recruits in 3 seasons. Sykes coached the Defensive Line in 2016, and then revamped the Striker position later that year, creating a more hybrid Nickel position, one that Navy hadn't used before. Sykes has has stops at Wake Forest University, UNC Charlotte, as well as stops at the high school level in, the Gilman School in Baltimore, MD and Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, NC. Sykes as recruited the DMV since 2008, helping to land players such as Mike Campanaro (Tennessee Titans/Wake Forest), Kevin Johnson (Houston Texans/Wake Forest), as well as NC and the Southern Cal JUCOs. Sykes has strong connections in college football, as he is a member of the Jim Grobe coaching tree, as well as the Joe Ehrmann coaching tree. Sykes has coached every position on the defensive side of the ball, as well has coached and/or coordinated in all phases of special teams. Rhode Island (FCS): Stefon Wheeler, who previously served as the offensive line coach at Wagner (FCS - NY), has been announced as the new offensive line coach at Rhode Island.

Independence CC (JC - KS): Kiyoshi Harris, who had been serving as the team's interim head coach, has been named the new head coach of the program moving forward. Harris spent the past two seasons as associate head coach, offensive line coach, and recruiting coordinator. Georgia Tech: Tim Conner, who previously served as an analyst at Temple, has joined the Georgia Tech staff in a similar capacity.

Thiel (D-III - PA): Thiel College is seeking an intern wide receivers coach to recruit and develop qualified student-athletes. This is stipend position that pays $5,000 over a 10 month period. Benefits includes free housing, full meal plan, and medical insurance. You will coach, mentor and develop your own position group, have game planning responsibilities, practice organization, and recruit an assigned territory. Widener (D-III - PA): King's College (D-III - PA) offensive line coach Nate Hinkle has accepted the offensive line job, per source.

Olivet Nazarene (NAIA - IL):Olivet Nazarene University is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant on Defense. Positions are flexible, preference will be given to experience with DB’s or LB’s. Candidates must demonstrate exceptional knowledge of strategy, successful recruiting ability, strong leadership, social media expertise, video editing, and communication skills. Photoshop expertise desired. Applicants must have a strong Christian faith and work within Olivet Nazarene’s Christian mission. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, coaching a position, recruiting, academic & spiritual growth of players, and coordinating social media efforts. Sun Belt: The conference is set to announce Keith Gill as the new commissioner of the league, per multiple reports, making him the first-ever African American to lead a FBS conference. Gill currently serves as the executive associate commissioner of the Atlantic 10 Conference and is the former athletic director at Richmond.

Furman (FCS - SC):Furman is looking for a home and home series in 2020 and 2021 with a FCS opponent. 2020 has to be a game at Furman from Week 4 on.
