AFCA: The AFCA has endorsed a new transfer model that would give players six years to play five.

High School: A successful high school coach says he was fired for having too many black players on his team

Finlandia (D-III - MI): Travis Wiltzius, who was named interim head coach following the departure of former head coach Rob Boss, will lead the team as an interim head coach through the 2018 season. This fall will be Finlandia's first season in the MIAA.

Simpson (D-III - IA): Simpson College has a full-time opening for an offensive coordinator. Duties and responsibilities will include assisting in the administration and organization of all aspects of the football program, including coaching, recruiting and scheduling. Applicants must have an excellent working knowledge of all areas of the sport, as well as a working knowledge of NCAA/IIAC rules. Other duties within the athletics department maybe assigned by the Athletics Director, based upon the qualifications of the candidate. The qualified candidate will hold a bachelors degree with athletics/sports emphasis, have excellent organizational skills as well as communications skills to effectively communicate with students, prospective students and their parents. Minimum five years’ experience coaching offensive skills positions at the high school or college preferred. Massachusetts: Head coach Mark Whipple has signed a contract extension through the 2020 season, the school announced Monday. Whipple enters his 11th season as the Minutemen's head coach, including fifth in his current stint. Terms were not disclosed in Monday's announcement; Whipple earned $472,000 in 2017, according to the USA Todaysalary database.
