Michigan: Michigan AD Warde Manuel says he wants Jim Harbaugh to retire as Michigan's head coach.
FAU: After submitting an open records request to FAU on the status of Lane Kiffin's contract extension, the Miami Herald got a response from FAU stating the "extension is an agreement in principle and the written details are still being worked out." Colgate (FCS - NY): Per source, special teams coordinator / defensive line coach Ryan Knowles has accepted the head coaching job at Sandpoint HS (ID). Knowles, who has spent the past 12 years on staff at Colgate, is a native of Sandpoint.
Bluffton (D-III - IN): Head coachDenny Dorrel has left to become the athletic director at Franklin County HS (IN), and offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Aaron Krepps has been promoted to head coach. Krepps joined the program last season after two seasons as wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Ohio Northern.
Vermilion CC (JC - MN): Vermilion Community College in Ely, Minnesota is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of a VOLUNTEER DL or LB Coach, whichever is the best fit. MIT (D-III - MA): MIT is looking to add an assistant football / assistant sports performance coach. This is a 10-month benefits eligible position. Candidates must embrace the dual role of coaching football and assisting and facilitating the training of all varsity sports within the athletic department. The Assistant Football / Assistant Sport Performance Coach must comply with all MIT, NCAA and NEWMAC established rules and regulations. The ideal candidate should have 1-3 years of collegiate football coaching experience and
experience with coaching strength and conditioning. Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred. USA Weight Lifting or NSCA certification strongly preferred. 1-3 years coaching experience preferably at the college/university level. A Bachelor's degree is required preferably in a field related to physical education or proven instructional experience. Master’s degree is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to pass the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam if they enter with an alternate certification. Siena Heights (NAIA - MI): Siena Heights University is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant opening. The position will work on the offensive side of the ball. The graduate assistant will report to the offensive coordinator and head football coach. Duties will include coaching a position, recruiting a specific area, academic monitoring, administrative duties, extensive video breakdown of games and practices, opponent scout as well as some equipment and laundry duties. Additional duties may be assigned by the head coach, defensive coordinator or the director of athletics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience/coaching experience at the collegiate level. Strong communication skills and ability to recruit high academic and quality student-athletes is a must. Experience with Hudl digital editing system is a MUST. Compensation includes a salary of $6,000 and full tuition remission. Positions are contingent upon admittance into Siena Heights University Graduate School.
