Headset Rule: Asked about the NCAA's new headset rule, Nick Saban compared it to "mouse manure" and "elephant doo doo." It'll make sense when you read it.

Texas State: Houston St. Pius X head coach Stephen Hill will be the new director of high school relations at Texas State, tweets DCTF's Matt Stepp.

Urbana (D-II - OH): Joe Nemith has joined the staff as defensive coordinator, a source tells FootballScoop.

Senior Bowl: The Senior Bowl has named Seahawks southeast area scout Jim Nagy as its new executive director and former Mississippi State head coach Sylvester Croom as senior VP of operations. More here.

Michigan State: Michigan State University is seeking a defensive graduate assistant. Must have a minimum 3.0 undergraduate GPA or be enrolled into a graduate program. Experience coaching linebackers or defensive backs is preferred. University of Jamestown (NAIA - ND): The University of Jamestown is seeking a defensive graduate assistant, best candidate available, strong consideration given to those that have played or coached Defensive Line. Responsibilities include assisting in practice preparation, game day duties, film, recruiting and other duties as assigned by the head coach and defensive coordinator. Bachelor’s degree is required. Bethany College (D-III - WV): Bethany College is seeking two qualified applicants for the position of intern with the football program. These positions will report to the Head Football Coach. One will coach on offense and one will coach on defense, with the positions to be determined by experience and background. Duties will include coaching, recruiting and fundraising. Additional duties may be assigned by the head coach or the director of athletics. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, a valid driver's license, and playing experience at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience coaching at the collegiate or high school level. Knowledge of and adherence to Bethany, NCAA Division III, and Presidents' Athletic Conference rules and regulations are also required. Compensation includes stipend ($9,000/year), room and board, and tuition waiver into Bethany’s MAT program. The selected candidates must be enrolled in Bethany's MAT program as a condition of employment.
