Florida State: AD David Coburn told the Tallahassee Democrat Florida State held a meeting of university stakeholders on Sunday, as we reported, but, in regards to Urban Meyer being the target if FSU moves on from Willie Taggart said this: "If Coach were hit by a bus tomorrow, we would not target Coach Meyer, period. I say that with all due respect to Coach Meyer, but we would not target Steve Spurrier either."

College Football Playoff: Brett Daniels has been announced as the CFP's senior director of communications and branding. Daniels has held similar roles with the Super Bowl LIII host committee, the 2018 CFP National Championship host committee in Atlanta, the 2014 Final Four host committee in Dallas, and with the Dallas Cowboys. Daniels replaces Gina Lehe, who is leaving to take a similar position with the NCAA.
Chad Morris: Chad Morris has been elected to the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame, it was announced Tuesday. Morris was the head coach at Elysian Fields, Bay City, Stephenville and Austin Lake Travis high schools before joining the college game.
