Louisville: Louisville has announced Vince Tyra as its acting athletics director. A former Kentucky baseball player and son of a former Louisville basketball player, Tyra is a board member with the University of Louisville Foundation and an operating partner of a Connecticut-based private equity firm.

Auburn: Tigers offensive line coach Herb Hand coached the 49-10 win over Mississippi State just six days after undergoing surgery to repair a torn retina.

Bob Stoops: At a speaking engagement at the Atlanta Touchdown Club, Bob Stoops shared that he has no intentions of returning to college football, or coaching in the NFL. "You won’t see me on a college sideline or a pro sideline. A lot of people act like they know, and there will be more than a few jobs out there. But that isn’t at all what I’m looking to do," Stoops shared, according to SEC Country.

Gene Stallings: After suffering a heart attack over the weekend and being on a ventilator, former Alabama head coach Gene Stallings is "resting comfortably" at Baylor University Medical Center, per Please join us in continuing to pray for coach Stallings.

Louisville: The University will have a press conference to announce an interim AD at 3:45pm EST, per multiple reports.

Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (D-III): Conference Commissioner Christopher Ragsdale has announced that he will retire on June 30, 2018. Ragsdale took over as league commissioner in 2008 after 41 years in higher education where he served as a college basketball coach, and director of athletics.


UTEP: Last night, UTEP announced that former head coach Mike Price (who led the program from 2004-2012) has agreed to take over the team on an interim basis. Read more here.
