UCLA: Interim head coach Jedd Fisch notes that Adam Weber will take over coaching the quarterbacks. Weber previously served in an offensive analyst role for the program. Weber is a former Minnesota quarterback who spent the 2015 and 2016 seasons as a graduate assistant for the Gophers.

Kent State: As FootballScoop first reported early this morning, Kent State has now officially announced that Paul Haynes will not return. “Making a coaching change is never easy,” AD Joel Nielsen said. “As an alum, Paul gave his all for this university and to Golden Flashes football, and moved the program forward in many ways. We thank Paul and his family for their service and commitment to Kent State student-athletes.”
Chip Kelly: While attention centers on Florida and UCLA, Kelly has turned down overtures from Tennessee and Nebraska according to George Schroeder of USA Today. Schroeder also reports that Kelly is intrigued by a potential opening at Arizona State, whose affiliation with Adidas would be less of a sticking point for close friend Phil Knight than UCLA-affiliated Under Armour, who Knight considers "a bitter rival."
Michigan: Michigan is working on a lifetime contract for Jim Harbaugh, Fox Sports college football analyst Brady Quinn said in a radio interview Tuesday.
Chip Kelly: ESPN's Mark Schlabach reports (as we did last night) that Chip Kelly has met with UCLA officials now as well and is considering offers from both UCLA and Florida. Schlabach reports he is not expected to consider the other openings in college.
South Alabama: USA has hired Parker Executive Search firm to help find their next head coach.
Vermilion (JC - MN): Vermilion Community College is looking for a head football coach, that will also serve as a .8o full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will also serve as the varsity Women's softball coach as well. Qualifications include a Master's degree in physical education, exercise science, kinesiology, or a Master's in any field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits in any of those fields. A complete application must include a letter expressing interest in and qualifications for the position, a current resume, and three professional references with current contact information via this link. Deadline to apply is December 18th, 2017.
Kent State: FootballScoop has learned that Paul Haynes will not return at Kent State after leading the program for five seasons. Haynes was 14-45 overall leading the Golden Flashes and finished this season 2-10. More information here.
Minnesota: PJ Fleck and Minnesota have agreed to a contract extension that will keep him with the Gophers into 2023, pending Board of Regents approval at their December meeting. Fleck is 5-6 in his first season with the program as they head into their final game of the season against undefeated Wisconsin.
Bethel (NAIA - KS): Head coach Morris Lolar has resigned from the head coaching position after three seasons and a 7-23 record, the school has announced.
Fresno City College (JC - CA): After 36 years in coaching, and 7 at Fresno City College, outside linebackers coach Rick Lyons has decided to retire.
UNC Pembroke (D-II):UNC Pembroke is looking to fill an open date (home or away) on October 13, 2018, with an NAIA or Division II opponent. Travel assistance is available for teams interested in traveling to Pembroke. UNC Pembroke is also interested in a home-and-home series with a Division II opponent in week 11 of both the 2019 (November 16) and 2020 (November 14) seasons.
