Defiance (D-III - OH): Per source, Defiance College plans to promote from within for their offensive line job and has no openings on staff at this time.

CBS: Phil Simms, demoted from the No. 1 analyst job for Tony Romo, will now work for CBS's studio show.

It doesn’t seem like Lane Kiffin liked coaching for Nick Saban

Baylor: Baylor paid Art Briles a total of $6.2 million in compensation in 2015, according to tax documents obtained by USA Today, up from $5.94 million in '14. That figure trailed only Jim Harbaugh, Nick Saban and Urban Meyer for the 2015 season. Additionally, AD Ian McCaw earned just over $950,000 in 2015.

Mayville State (NAIA - ND): Mayville State University is looking for an assistant coach and faculty member in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. Coaching responsibilities include: Coaching and leading own position group, recruiting high quality student-athletes, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Defensive Coordinator. Faculty responsibilities include duties assigned by the division chair of HPER, instruction of on campus and online coursework, service to the HPER Division, Mayville State University, and discipline. The division of HPER offer degrees in Physical Education, Sport Management, Fitness & Wellness, Health, and Health Education. Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have been chosen as the subject of HBO's Hard Knocks series for this season.

Miami Dolphins: The Fins have announced the hiring of analytics specialist Matt Sheldon.

ACC: The ACC is moving its football championship game back to Charlotte through 2020.

Texas: In a Big 12 teleconference yesterday, Tom Herman said he would focus his 10th assistant hire on special teams, recruiting and defense -- in that order. Herman also explained why he dislikes allowing official visits in June.

Mary Hardin-Baylor (D-III - TX): The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Football Program is seeking an opponent for a home/home series in 2018 & 2019. Division III programs preferred. Steve Broussard: Longtime college assistant Steve Broussard, who has coached at Portland State (RBs), Washington State (RBs / STC), Arizona State (WRs), UCLA (RBs), SMU (RBs), and Pasadena City College (OC), has landed a head coaching job at Fort Vancouver HS (WA). Broussard also spent almost a decade in the NFL as a running back with the Falcons, Bengals and Seahawks before beginning his coaching career at the high school level.

North Park (D-III - Chicago, IL): North Park University, located on the Northside of Chicago, is looking for a Graduate Assistant to work on the offensive or defensive side of the ball. Applicants must be accepted into graduate school. Coaching/Playing experience preferred. Applicants with Strength and Conditioning background will be given preference. Compensation package includes $6,000/year, Full-Tuition waiver and some weekly meals. Housing is not included. Local applicants are encouraged to apply. Alabama: New offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will earn $1.2 million in 2017, according to Aaron Suttles of the Tuscaloosa News. Additionally, wide receivers coach Mike Locksley will make $600,000 (he earned $45,000 as an analyst in 2016) and tight ends coach/special teams coordinator Joe Pannunzio will earn "approximately" $378,000.

Maine (FCS): Per source, Brian Picucci, the former UMass offensive coordinator / offensive line coach under Don Brown, will now coach the offensive line after spending last season coaching the running backs.

Middle Tennessee: Offensive line coach Rick Mallory suffered a heart attack and a spiral arterial tear during his Monday workout, according to a Facebook post by his wife, Shannon. Please keep the Mallorys in your prayers.

University of Northwestern (D-III - MN): Matt Moore, who has been on staff for over a decade, including the last three seasons as defensive coordinator, has been named head coach of the program. He replaces Kirk Talley, who resigned back in March after leading the program for 16 seasons to become the associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Warner University (NAIA - FL).

Grand Valley State (D-II - MI): Ryan Stokes has joined the GVSU staff as an offensive graduate assistant after spending a few years at Saint Joseph's College (D-II - IN), most recently as run game coordinator / tight ends coach.

Charleston Southern (FCS - SC): Mike Adams (safeties), Bryant Foster (corners), and Josh Cooper (DL) have joined the staff. Adams spent te past three seasons coaching the inside linebackers at South Alabama, Foster is the former corners coach at Hampton (FCS - VA), and Cooper spent last season at Ave Maria (NAIA - FL).

Portland State (FCS - OR): Colin Fry and Hansen Sekona have joined the staff in defensive assistant roles. Fry spent last season as a graduate assistant at Cal, and Sekona spent the last two years as a graduate assistant at Washington.

Augustana (D-II - SD): Jordan Malone, who spent last year at Minnesota State Mankato (D-II) coaching the defensive line, has joined the staff as defensive coordinator.
