Urbana (D-II - OH): Urbana University has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Coach who will split time between the Football and Wrestling programs. The Assistant coach will spend time supporting the sport that is in season 75% and the sport that is not in season 25%. The selected individual will coordinate activities through the Head Coaches of these programs and will assist them in recruiting, instructing and retaining highly skilled student athletes for the programs. The Assistant Coach will provide instruction on the fundamentals, details and strategies of each sport and will counsel student athletes in sport participation, personal development and academics. We seek someone with a Bachelor’s degree who has had playing or coaching experience in these sports at the college, university or professional level. The selected individual must have the ability to effectively teach and communicate the mechanics and fundamentals of football and wrestling. In addition, the Assistant Coach must have a proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student athletes academically and athletically, a valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory background check once given an offer of employment. FAU: Source tells FootballScoop Former Jacksonville Jaguars & Tennessee staffer Tony Sorrentino is joining Lane Kiffin's staff as director of player development. Sorrentino, who previously served on staffs at Miami & Minnesota as well, had been slated to become a high school head coach in New Jersey; but has chosen to accept Kiffin's offer we are told.
Texas A&M: The Aggies paid Kevin Sumlin a $9.9 million buyout in mid-February, according to documents obtained by Ben Baby of the Dallas Morning News. Sumlin's contract called for his 5-year, $30 million guaranteed contract, signed in 2015, to be paid out in full within 60 days should he be fired.
Texas A&M-Commerce (D-II): A&M-Commerce has hired Scott Power as its new defensive coordinator. The 2015 FootballScoop NAIA Coordinator of the Year, Power helped Marian (Ind.) win the 2015 NAIA title and was at Central Washington before Texas A&M-Commerce.
SMU: Scott Nady, who previously led Parish Episcopal HS (Dallas, TX) to two state titles, has joined the staff as a special teams analyst, source tells FootballScoop.
American International College (D-II - MA): American International College is accepting applications for an offensive line coach. This is a non-benefits, restricted earnings position with a $15,000 salary. Northeast regional candidates with collegiate playing, coaching, or recruiting experience required. Hartwick (D-III - NY): Hartwick College is still accepting applications for a full-time, 10-month Assistant Football Coach opening. Edmonton Eskimos (CFL): DJ McCarthy has joined the Eskimos staff coaching the wide receivers, per source. McCarthy is the former wide receivers coach for LSU and spent last season as the director of player development at FAU.
Wayne State (D-II - NE): Brian Frana has been named offensive coordinator. Frana previously served as the run game coordinator at Southwest Minnesota State (D-II).

Jersey Coast (JC - NJ): Jersey Coast Academy has an opening for a defensive line coach and running backs coach. These are part-time position that pay $3,000.00 for the season paid monthly.
