Louisville: Contracts have been obtained by the Courier-Journal for defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder, linebackers coach Ryan Beard and corners coach Grady Brown. VanGorder's deal is three years at $950,000 per year. Beard will make $150,000 under a one year deal and Brown's one year deal is worth $200,000. VanGorder spent the 2017 season as an analyst at Oklahoma State and was with Georgia as an analyst later in the 2016 season after being let go at Notre Dame (where he was defensive coordinator) early that year.

Coastal Carolina: Coastal Carolina University, a NCAA Division I institution and member of the Sun Belt Conference is accepting applications for position of Assistant Equipment Coordinator in the Athletics department. Position responsible for assisting with supervision of student managers. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting in the purchase and inventory of apparel and equipment for all sports; assisting with coordination of laundering and maintenance of athletic apparel; coordinating and supervising practice set-up for football; assisting with organization and set-up of sideline on game days for football; providing assistance associated with loading and unloading of equipment truck for away games; and performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or his designee. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience with intercollegiate equipment management at a NCAA institution as student manager, intern, or full-time position preferred. A successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills along with strong organizational skills.
