Colorado: Sources tell FootballScoop Mel Tucker has his defensive coordinator. Chase Howell first tweeted about the hire.

Kansas State: K-State will pay out Bill Snyder's $3 million buyout over the next three years even though Snyder retired. “The buyout is just something I wanted to do,” K-State AD Gene Taylor told the Wichita Eagle. “I think he deserved it for everything he has done.” Local reporter Kellis Robinett added, "The contract reads as though Snyder would receive only his buyout for being terminated without cause or the ambassador job after retiring, but now it seems like he will receive both."

Western Kentucky: Tyson Helton plans to retain defensive coordinator Clayton White, linebackers coach Maurice Crum, defensive ends coach Jimmy Lindsey and defensive tackles coach Kenny Martin reports the BG Daily News. Safeties coach Jami DeBerry is not being retained.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Source tells FootballScoop Mark Hudspeth does not plan to retain any of Will Healy's staff. Healy is bringing some to Charlotte. Will update....

Dino Babers: Syracuse has announced a "long-term contract extension" with Dino. Their release lacks any details.

Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Anderson University defensive coordinator Tyrone Young is joining the KWU staff as defensive and recruiting coordinator.

North Carolina Central (FCS): Southern defensive coordinator Trei Oliver will be the new head coach at North Carolina Central, sources tell FootballScoop. HBCU Gameday was the first to report the news.

Temple: Miami defensive coordinator Manny Diaz will be the new head coach at Temple, sources tell FootballScoop. Pete Thamel first reported the news.

Kansas: Jimmy Brumbaugh will join Les Miles's staff as defensive line coach, sources tell FootballScoop. Brumbaugh spent the past two seasons as co-defensive coordinator/defensive line coach at Maryland, and prior to that worked for four seasons as Kentucky's defensive line coach.

Colorado: CU has approved Mel Tucker's 5-year, $14.75 million contract, an average of $2.95 million a year. Unlike Mike MacIntyre's deal, Tucker's buyout includes an offset for any future earnings.

Kansas State: Chris Klieman will retain director of recruiting Taylor Braet onto the new staff.

Saint Vincent (D-III - PA):  Saint Vincent College is looking to hire a receivers coach. This coach will be responsible for coaching their position, film-breakdown (HUDL), scouting reports, recruiting, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.Bachelor’s degree preferred. Computer and Hudl proficiency also preferred. Prior coaching or playing experience at college or high school level is desired. Akron: Mississippi State assistant head coach / run game coordinator / running backs coach Charles Huff has interviewed for the Akron head coaching job, Bruce Feldman tweets. Feldman also shares that Texas running associate head coach / running backs coach / running backs coach Stan Drayton is also "getting consideration" for the job.

Washington and Lee (D-III - VA): Washington and Lee is looking to hire a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position. The University is deeply committed to fostering a community of excellence, diversity, and inclusion. Bethany (NAIA - KS): Barry Rave, the defensive line coach at Missouri Valley College (NAIA) and former defensive coordinator at Graceland (NAIA - IA), has been hired as defensive coordinator, sources tell FootballScoop.

Western Kentucky: Mike Goff, a 12-year NFL veteran who worked on the support staff at USC since 2015, has joined the WKU staff as offensive line coach per the BG Daily News.

Averett (D-III - VA): Averett is looking to hire a full-time defensive secondary coach. The Assistant Football Coach reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NCAA, USA South Athletic Conference (USAC), and the University. Utah State: TJ Woods is leaving the WKU staff to reunite with Gary Andersen at Utah State, per the Bowling Green Daily News. The two previously coached together at Utah State, Wisconsin, and Oregon State.

South Dakota State (FCS): Head coach John Stiegelmeier and SDSU have agree to terms on a five-year contract extension that will keep him with the Jackrabbits through the 2023 season. In 22 seasons leading the team, Stiegelmeier, the winningest head coach in program history, has compiled a record of 158-99 and he currently has the program in the national semifinals.

Merrimack (FCS - MA):Merrimack College is looking for a D2 / NAIA opponent for a home game the weekend of August 31, 2019. Will offer a guarantee. Please contact Head Coach Dan Curran for more information at Currand@merrimack.edu.

Averett (D-III - VA): Averett is looking to hire a full-time offensive assistant coach. The Assistant Football Coach reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish the objectives of this sport within the guidelines of the NCAA, USA South Athletic Conference (USAC), and the University. Louisville: As expected, Frank Ponce, who has been on Scott Satterfield's staff at App State the past six seasons most recently as quarterbacks coach / co-offensive coordinator, has been formally added to the staff as quarterbacks coach. Also, Bryan Brown has now been introduced as defensive coordinator / corners coach as well, and former Colorado defensive backs coach ShaDon Brown has been hired to work with the safeties.

Western Kentucky: Tennessee State (FCS) wide receivers coach Chris Chestnut has joined the WKU staff in the same capacity and the school has also now officially announced the additions of Richard Owens (TEs), and Montario Hardesty (RBs).

Dodge City (JC - KS): Ricky Coon, the co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach / assistant head coach at Southeast Missouri (FCS), has been named head coach.

Rutgers: Former North Carolina corners coach Henry Baker has joined the Rutgers staff in the same, per 247. He takes over for Cory Robinson, who left to take a position on the Maryland staff.

John Carroll (D-III - OH): Nick Alexander, who served as quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator on staff, has accepted the head coaching job at Walsh Jesuit HS (OH).

Temple: With Mike Elko out of the running (per report below), The Inquirer notes that Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown, Miami defensive coordinator Manny Diaz, Baylor assistant head coach / corners coach Francis Brown, and interim head coach Ed Foley have all interviewed, as well as 8-10 other candidates.

Texas A&M: Mike Elko will return to the Aggies as defensive coordinator, Pete Thamel tweets. Elko had been talked about as a serious candidate for the Temple head coaching job.

Atlanta Legends (AAF): Brad Childress has added Jen Welter (defensive specialist), Miles Robinson (offensive assistant), and Tyler Anderson (defensive assistant) to the staff. Welter coached the women's Australian national team in 2017, and helped with the linebackers with the Arizona Cardinals back in 2015, Anderson has been on staff at Iowa the past eight seasons most recently working with the Hawkeye special teams, and Robinson coached the TEs / H-Backs at Miles College (D-II - AL) last year following a year as assistant director of player development / operations analyst at UCLA.

Mississippi State: Tony Hughes is joining Joe Moorhead's staff, per Rachel Richlinski. Hughes previously spent seven seasons on Dan Mullen's staff in Starkville before becoming the head coach at Jackson State (FCS) in 2015.

Victor Valley (JC - CA): Victor Valley College has an adjunct position opening in the Spring semester of 2019. Must have a Master’s in Kinesiology. No other degree will be accepted. Looking for best candidate regardless of position. This is a part time position but compensation could be $30,000 to $40,000 per year. Delta State (D-II - MS): Assistant head coach / offensive coordinator Joel Williams is the new head coach at Straughn HS (AL), per source.

Willamette (D-III - OR): Willamette University is searching for a Defensive Coordinator. Previous coordinator experience preferred. Interested candidates should apply through the university job posting via this link.

Potsdam Royals (Germany): Former UCF and Florida graduate assistant Josh Linam has been hired as the team's defensive coordinator, per source.
