Please join us in praying for Jacksonville State (FCS) head coach John Grass, whose mother, Virginia, passed away yesterday.

Elon: We understand there are some reports linking Charleston Southern head coach Jamey Chadwell to the Elon opening. Our understanding is he is not and has not been a candidate for that opening. We understand Dave Blank has conducted a number of phone calls with prospective candidates. Will update once more is clear regarding who might get the job.

Temple: Coastal Carolina offensive coordinator / quarterbacks Dave Patenaude is expected to join the Temple staff in the same capacity sources tell FootballScoop. Patenaude has served as offensive coordinator for the past five seasons at Coastal and had at Georgetown for two seasons prior to that. Patenaude also previously coached at Hofstra, Holy Cross, as head coach at New Haven, Columbia, Fordham, etc...

Email resumes to Head Coach Chris Williams at No phone calls please!

Buffalo Bills: "There's every indication" the Bills will hire interim head coach Anthony Lynn as the permanent head coach reports Vic Carucci who covers the Bills for the Buffalo News. Carucci adds that the Bills will interview other candidates; but he refers to this simply as a "search". If Lynn indeed becomes the new head coach, he will have gone from running backs coach (a position he has coached since 2003) to interim OC to interim HC to head coach in just 3 months. Fascinating.

Carolina Panthers: Special teams advisor Bruce DeHaven has passed away after a battle with prostate cancer.
