Wyoming: Former Craig Bohl assistant Jake Dickert has formally joined the Wyoming staff as safeties coach.

Central Michigan: Blake Serpa, who ended his playing career at CMU in 2015, has joined the staff as a defensive quality control coach.

Purdue: The base salaries of Jeff Brohm's staff have been released by Stacy Clardie of and are as follows; co-DC / LBs Nick Holt ($500k), co-DC / safeties coach Anthony Poindexter ($425k), QBs coach Brian Brohm ($400k), WRs coach JaMarcus Shephard ($275k), RBs coach Chris Barclay ($200k), OL coach Dale Williams ($225k), DL coach Reggie Johnson ($225k), and DBs coach Derrick Jackson ($300k).

Alabama: Director of football operations Justin Dickens is leaving the program, according to Matt Zenitz of

Virginia Tech: The details of the contact extension that athletic director Whit Babcock signed last fall have been detailed by the Roanoke Times and include a raise of $165,000 (to $635,000 annually) and includes raises of a minimum of 5% each year through the end of his contract which runs through June 30, 2024.

Kentucky: Derrick LeBlanc has been announced as defensive line coach.

Iowa: New hires Tim Polasek (OL) and Kelton Copeland (WRs) both have one-year deals, per Mark Emmert, who adds that Polasek will make $325,000 annually and Copeland will earn $225,000 a year.

Atlanta Falcons: We reported a few days ago now that Jess Simpson would be joining Dan Quinn's staff, andSimpson's role with the team will be defensive assistant. Simpson joined the Georgia State back in December and is the former head coach at Buford HS (GA).

Illinois: Donnie Abraham has formally been announced as the new safeties coach on Lovie Smith's staff.

North Carolina Wesleyan (D-III): Per source, Aubrey Kelly is the new defensive coordinator. kelly previously coached the linebackers at Yorktown HS (VA) and has prior experience as the defensive coordinator at Indiana State.

Cincinnati: Willie Martinez has now officially joined Luke Fickell's staff as corners coach. Martinez previously served as the assistant head coach and defensive backs coach at Tennessee.

Princeton: Per source, Jamel Mutunga has been hired to coach the running backs at Princeton. Mutunga previously coached the running backs at Lehigh (FCS - PA).

Kentucky: Dean Hood has now been formally announced as special teams coordinator / outside linebackers coach.

Arizona State: Louisiana-Monroe offensive line coach Rob Sale is the new offensive line coach for the Sun Devils, per 247. We can confirm the news. Sale also previously served as the offensive line coach at Georgia.

Gene Chizik's advice to young coaches on winning at work and at home: "At some point you have to draw the line between what you do and who you are."

Case Western Reserve (D-III - OH): Case Western Reserve University has one open intern position. Looking for receiver coaching experience, but will hire the best candidate available. Recruiting experience at a high academic institution is a plus! Position includes a $10,000 stipend. No meals or housing, but will be willing to help with employment during the Spring. West Texas A&M (D-II): Maryland graduate assistant Cooper Bassett is the new offensive line coach at West Texas A&M, per source.

East Mississippi CC (JC): Offensive coordinator Marcus Woods is resigning and moving into administration, per source.

Montana State (FCS): Offensive line coach Brian Armstrong has been promoted to offensive coordinator following the departure of Courtney Messingham to North Dakota State for the same position. Armstrong previously led the Rocky Mountain College (NAIA - MT) program for seven seasons.

Chicago Bears: Former Saints defensive assistant James Willis is interviewing for the Bears assistant defensive line job, per Adam Caplan.

Miami Dolphins: Josh Grizzard, who spent last season as an quality control coach / assistant quarterbacks coach at Duke, is joining the organization as an offensive quality control coach, per Adam Caplan.

Lehigh (FCS - PA): Head coach Andy Coen has announced a few changes to his coaching staff. Scott Brisson has been promoted to offensive coordinator and will coach the quarterbacks after coaching the receivers and serving as recruiting coordinator last year, defensive coordinator Joe Bottiglieri will continue to coach the linebackers and is adding the title of senior advisor to the defensive staff and secondary coach Craig Sutyak has been promoted to defensive coordinator.

Minnesota: Minnesota will pay Western Michigan $50,000 to transfer the "Row the Boat" trademark rights to the Gophers and PJ Fleck, Darren Rovell reports. Fleck will make a yearly gift of $10,000 to go toward the scholarship of a WMU football player.

Davenport (D-II - MI): FootballScoop has learned that Ferris State (D-II - MI) passing game coordinator / wide receivers coach Sparky McEwen will be the new head coach at Davenport. McEwen will lead the program as it transitions from NAIA to a Division II member of the GLIAC. A press conference is expected tomorrow to formally announce McEwen.

Northern Michigan (D-II): Per source, IUP (D-II) offensive coordinator Marty Higgins is joining Kyle Nystrom's staff at Northern Michigan.

Missouri: Sources tell FootballScoop that offensive analyst Kendall Bradley is the new head coach at Atlantic HS (Port Orange, FL).

Army: Former UConn assistant David Corley will be the new wide receivers coach at Army, per Ryan Bartow.

Northern State (D-II - SD): Northern State University is accepting applications for a defensive graduate assistant (outside linebackers). Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Position includes tuition waiver and stipend, with additional income possibilities. Start Date will beJuly 17, 2017or sooner, if possible. San Francisco 49ers: Richard Hightower will be the special teams coordinator on Kyle Shanahan's staff, per Adam Caplan.

Iowa: Newly hired quarterbacks coach Ken O'Keefe has a three-year deal worth $540,000 annually, per The Cedar Rapids Gazette.

Samford (FCS - AL): Jamael Lett, who spent last season as a defensive graduate assistant at Ohio working with the defensive backs, has joined the Samford staff as defensive backs coach.

Cumberland (NAIA - TN): Per source, Brad Bustle and Nathan Luce will serve as co-offensive coordinators. Bustle will continue his duties as offensive line coach and Luce will move from wide receivers to quarterbacks.
