Nebraska: Notre Dame staffer Bobby Elliott will join Mike Riley's staff along with Bob Diaco reports Samuel McKewon of the Omaha World Herald. Elliott had recently moved to special assistant to the head coach at Notre Dame when Mike Elko brought Clark Lea onto the staff. We understand Steve Wiltfong of 247 was first to report that Elliott had agreed to join NU staff.

Alabama: Former Texans offensive coordinator George Godsey is expected to interview for the offensive coordinator job, per 247.

LA Rams: The Rams have announced that John Fassel, who has been with the organization since 2012, will return as special teams coordinator.

San Francisco 49ers: Per Alex Marvez, Giants assistant defensive line coach Jeff Zgonina is leaving to become the defensive line coach for the Niners

Missouri: New outside linebackers coach Brian Odom will make $240k annually, per StlToday.

Michigan: Chris Partridge, who worked with part of the special teams units and the Wolverine linebackers last season, has been named special teams coordinator. Running backs coach Jay Harbaugh (who coached the tight ends last season) will hold the title of co-special teams coordinator.

Lewis and Clark (D-III - OR): Former Oregon State quarterback Lyle Moevao has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach.

Alabama: Chip Kelly reportedly has "no interest" in the vacant Alabama offensive coordinator job.

Arkansas State: Blake Anderson stated today on "The Drive with Brad Bobo" that he will coach the quarterbacks this season and "basically call plays". Buster Faulkner will move to tight ends and retain offensive coordinator title.

South Dakota State: Iowa State defensive grad assistant Christian Smith is joining the South Dakota State staff coaching the defensive tackles source tells FootballScoop.

Iowa State: Iowa State University is seeking applicants for an open defensive graduate assistant position. Looking for applicants who are self-motivated, detail oriented, communicate effectively and have the ability to work with others efficiently. This position will help with all defensive administrational work, assisting in preparation of game planning material and opponent film breakdown. This position will assist with a position group which will be determined by the defensive coordinator, and head coach based on applicant. The position covers a full time academic course load, monthly stipend and benefits. There is no housing or meals associated with this position. Scoop Him Up:Charles Harris is an eager, motivated young coach looking to move up in the profession. He has spent the past two seasons at legendary Canton McKinley HS (OH), coaching outside linebackers, running backs and special teams. Prior to that he coached at Wheat Ridge HS (CO) and served as a student assistant at UTSA. A national champion at Delta State, Harris played half a dozen seasons in minor league football and served as a minor league head coach. New York Giants: The Giants have signed defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to a new deal, per Jordan Raanan of ESPN. Spagnuolo's original two-year contract ran out following the Super Bowl, and he led a unit that improved from last in total yards allowed in 2015, to the 10th ranked defense in the league last season.

Villanova (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop that Yale (FCS - CT) defensive assistant Matthew Colangelo has accepted a similar position at Villanova.

Kennesaw State (FCS - GA): PJ Volker has joined the staff as linebackers coach. Volker previously coached the linebackers at Georgia State.

Central Oklahoma (D-II): Per source, offensive line coach Chris Martin will not return.

Montana State (FCS): South Carolina graduate assistant Mark Orphey has accepted the defensive backs job at Montana State, per Wes Mitchell.

Western Carolina: Per source corners coach Zach Etheridge is being promoted to outside linebackers and nickels. He replaces Chris Collins who joined the Georgia State staff as safeties coach back in late December.

New York Jets: The Jets have announced James Bates as quarterbacks coach. They've also hired assistant quarterbacks coach Mick Lombardi and offensive assistant Jason Vrabel. Additionally, 49ers offensive quality control coach Mick Lombardi is joining the organziation as offensive assistant / assistant quarterbacks, per Matt Maiocco.

Michigan: Run game coordinator / tackles and tight ends coach Greg Frey has a 3-year deal worth $500k annually, per a report from the Detroit Free Press.

West Virginia: Tony Dews has formally been announced as running backs coach on Dana Holgorsen's staff.

Weber State (FCS - UT): Idaho tight ends coach Al Pupunu has acepted the same position at Weber State. Also, Grant Duff has been hired to coach the outside linebackers after three seasons as the director of operations.

San Francisco 49ers: Kyle Shanahan is not expected to hire an offensive coordinator, per Ian Rapoport who adds that Shanahan will hire Falcons offensive assistant Mike McDaniel as their "run game guru" and Rich Scangarello as quarterbacks coach. Scangarello was on the Falcons staff in 2015 and spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Wagner (FCS - NY). Also, Gil Brandt adds that Falcons running backs coach Bobby Turner is joining the Niners in the same capacity.

Kentucky: Per source, Colquitt County HS (GA) linebackers coach and special teams coordinator Evan McKissack has joined the staff as an offensive graduate assistant working with the offensive line.

Howard (FCS - Washington, DC): Oklahoma Baptist (D-II) running backs coach Brennan Marion has accepted the offensive coordinator job, per source.

Eastern Michigan: Jay Nunez, who spent last season as the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Southern Illinois (FCS), has joined the EMU staff as special teams coordinator and tight ends coach. Prior to SIU, Nunez spent five seasons under Jerry Kill at Minnesota.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): Travis Champion, who spent last season at Delta State (D-II - MS) as a graduate assistant, has joined the staff as quarterbacks / running backs coach, per source.

Yale (FCS - CT): Yale University is seeking applicants for our open defensive assistant position. We are looking for applicants who are self-motivated, detail oriented, communicate effectively (verbally and written) and have the ability to problem solve. This position will be in charge of all defensive administrational work, assisting in the preparation of game planning material and film breakdown. This position will assist with the development of a position group which will be determined by the defensive coordinator, as well as assisting our recruiting department. Hiram (D-III - OH): The Hiram College football program is now accepting applications for our defensive intern position. You will be coaching defensive backs or defensive line. This position will include stipend, housing, and meal plan. There are no benefits with this position. Candidates will progress to overseeing the daily strength & conditioning activities, coach own position, recruit both on and off campus, have other football program support, as well as other duties assigned by the head coach and director of athletics. Utah: The University of Utah football program is currently looking to fill a couple of positions: a defensive administrative assistant and a defensive graduate assistant. The defensive administrative assistant position is an immediate need, while the graduate assistant position will need to be filled by the summer. Cleveland Browns: The Browns have hired David Lee to coach quarterbacks, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.

UCLA: Oregon wide receivers coach Jimmie Dougherty is expected to become the wide receivers coach at UCLA, according to Bruce Feldman who adds that Dougherty will also have the pass game coordinator title. We can confirm the move.

Kansas: Running backs coach Tony Hull has added an associate head coach title.

Atlanta Falcons: Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons are expected to promote from within for their defensive coordinator vacancy, with defensive backs coach Marquand Manuel and linebackers coach Jeff Ulbrich the leading candidates.

Texas College (NAIA): Charles Moss, who spent last season at West Texas A&M (D-II) coaching the linebackers, has been named head coach.

Bethune-Cookman (FCS): Former Texas College (NAIA) head coach Gregory Ruffin is the new tight ends coach, per source.

Glenville State (D-II - WV): Glenville State is currently accepting applications for an assistant DB’s coach, primarily working with corners. This will be an entry level positon with stipend, housing and possible meals starting in the fall. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, with master’s degree preferred. Preference will be given to the candidates who have at least 3 years of college coaching, are familiar with an even shell defense, video breakdown, opponent scouting and academic monitoring. Atlanta Falcons: Defensive coordinator Richard Smith will not be returning to a coordinator role with the team and may be shifting to another staff position, and Bryan Cox will be replaced as defensive line coach, per a report from Alex Marvez.

LSU: Former Pitt offensive line graduate assistant Dave Bucar has followed Matt Canada to LSU. He will reportedly work as an offensive analyst. Matthew Tomsho has also been hired as an offensive analyst.

Northwestern: Sources tell FootballScoop that Northwestern already has their candidate pool narrowed down to the finalists for the offensive graduate assistant position vacated by Mike Kafka's move to the NFL (see below).

Kansas City Chiefs: Former Northwestern quarterback and offensive graduate assistant Mike Kafka is joining the Chiefs in a quality control role, per source. Kafka played for Andy Reid with the Eagles.

Kansas City Chiefs: Rod Wilson has joined the staff as an assistant special teams coach.

Anna Maria College (D-III - MA): Anna Maria College, located in Paxton, MA is accepting applications for (2) graduate assistants coaches. One offensive GA and one defensive GA. The position of assistant football coach – (GA) reports to the Head Football Coach and is responsible for assisting the entire operation of the program including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, film breakdown and evaluation, practice planning, participate in player skill development, meetings with players and staff and other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Housing and some meals will be provided as well as a stipend of $4,500.
