Butler (JC - KS): Former Eastern Arizona (JC) receivers coach Bret Hood will be the new running backs coach at Butler, source tells FootballScoop.

NFL: Former Jags and Giants coach Tom Coughlin will join the NFL's football operations department, according to Jim Trotter of ESPN.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Alabama defensive line coach Bo Davis has been hired as a coaching intern according to Michael DiRocco of ESPN. Additional coaching intern hires, according to DiRocco, are Leon Washington, Dexter Jackson and Chad Jackson.

Vanderbilt: Vanderbilt has hired Sports Illustrated writer Zac Ellis as a writer and digital media editor.

Kentucky State (D-II): Kentucky State University is seeking a football operation graduate assistant to start immediately. This position includes tuition paid for but no housing, meals or stipend. Heads Up Football: The New York Times reports that the study USA Football ordered & touts as showing Heads Up Football significantly reduced concussions, actually showed that programs using Heads Up Football incurred slightly more concussions. If you teach Heads Up Football, you should probably read this.

MacMurray (D-III - IL): MacMurray College invites applications for a cornerbacks intern. Responsibilities include: coaching and recruiting. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree, valid driver's license. playing and/or coaching experience, and excellent communication skills. Compensation includes a stipend for a 10 month contract, on-campus housing and meals - no benefits provided. This is considered an entry-level position. All applicants will be considered but preference will be given to those with experience coaching a skill position on the offensive side. Lock Haven (D-II - PA): After 41 years in the coaching profession, assistant head coach / linebackers coach John Miech will retire at the end of the moth. Miech is the former head coach at UW-Stevens Point (D-III) where he went 156-84-2 before moving on to UW-Whitewater (D-III) where he helped win two national titles. At Lock Haven, defensive line coach / special teams coordinator Kevin Smith has been elevated to full-time, and Randi Moore will coach the linebackers while Rashad Elby is joining the staff from Hampton (FCS - VA) to coach the defensive backs.

Williams College (D-III - MA): Williams College is seeking an assistant football coach. This will be a seasonal position only. Compensation will commensurate with experience and does not include housing. This position will be responsible for coaching a defensive position, film-breakdown, scouting reports, recruiting, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and coordinators.
