Candidates will be responsible for working with the head coach in all aspects of developing a competitive NAIA program (you will have your own position group depending on experience), with some assignments for athletic administration. Utah: Head coach Kyle Whittingham's new contract includes a clause that will make him a special assistant to the AD for 10 years, if he chooses to retire at Utah, that will pay him 10 percent of his annual salary at the time of said retirement, according to documents obtained by the Salt Lake Tribune. He is set to make $3.4 million this year with escalators of at least $50,000 annually.

Southeastern Oklahoma State (D-II): Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a NCAA Division II institution, is accepting applications for a volunteer assistant coach helping with the Linebackers. There could be a possibility of tuition assistance with this position. Responsibilities include practice/game preparation, recruiting, equipment, video and other duties assigned by the head coach or defensive coordinator. Experience playing and/or coaching Linebacker is preferred. Position starts as soon as possible. Defiance College (D-III - OH): Offensive coordinator Aaron Mershman, who is entering his third season on staff, has been promoted to head coach following to departure of Casey Goff to The College of New Jersey (D-III). Goff spent one season leading the Defiance program.

UW-Stevens Point (D-III - WI): UWSP is seeking candidates for a graduate assistant football coach. This coach will have their own position group, recruiting territory and special team responsibilities. Will have other duties associated with being a full time coach. This position includes a $12,000 stipend, no housing, no meals and no tuition. Position will be expected to enroll in at least one graduate OR one undergraduate level class per semester. Fort Lewis (D-II - CO): Head coach Ed Rifalato has stepped down, per source, but will remain on staff coaching the linebackers. We understand that defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Joe Morris has taken over as head coach.
