Please join us in praying for the father of Western Michigan defensive graduate assistant Danny Collins. Coach Collins' father, Dan Collins Sr, had a heart attack on the 4th of July, and will be undergoing bypass surgery. Please keep the Collins family in your prayers.

Old Dominion: Per source, Northwestern State safeties coach Frank Wilson has accepted a quality control position at Old Dominion. We're told the Northwestern State safeties job has been filled internally.

New Mexico: Offensive line coach Jason Lenzmeier is no longer on the staff SI has reported and FootballScoop can confirm. Sources tell FootballScoop Bob Davie is planning to hire a new offensive line coach and is still considering candidates at this time.

Baylor: Former head coachArt Briles has filed a motion asking a federal judge to remove him as a defendant in the lawsuit from a woman claiming that the school ignored sexual assault claims. According to USA Today, Briles is arguing that "federal and state laws do not allow him to be sued as an individual in the case against the university."

Alabama: Mike Locksley, the former Maryland offensive coordinator who joined the Tide staff recently, will make $45,000 annually as an analyst on Nick Saban's staff. Locksley made just shy of $900,000 last year at Maryland, according to USA Today's Coaching Salary Database. Locksley had one year left on his deal at Maryland.

Beloit (D-III - WI): Beloit College has an immediate opening for an offensive intern. The position is 9-month (August – April) and the intern will work with his own position group on the offensive side of the ball and report directly to the offensive coordinator and the head football coach. In addition to coaching a position, the intern will recruit both regionally and nationally, as well as oversee our HUDL film editing system. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree as well as college playing experience. Preference will be given to candidates with offensive line experience. The position pays a monthly stipend. Syracuse: ESPN Executive Vice President John Wildhack has been named the new athletic director at Syracuse. Wildhack is a 1980 Syracuse graduate.

Iowa: Don Shumpert is joining the Iowa staff as an offensive graduate assistant. Shumpert was a Hawkeye wide receiver from 2010-2013.
