Baylor: Chip Brown reports that the push for Art Briles' return at Baylor is now "dead". Brown notes that mediation has begun on the settlement of Briles' contract, which had 8-years and $40 million in guaranteed money remaining on it and one source noted that a settlement will probably be reached in the range of $20 million.

Notre Dame: Greg Hudson, who played at Notre Dame in the late 80's and served as the defensive coordinator at Purdue the past few seasons (2013-2015), is joining the Notre Dame staff in an off the field role according to 247. Prior to joining the Purdue staff, Hudson was the assistant head coach and linebackers coach at Florida State from 2010-2012.

Chowan (D-II - NC): Head coach Tim Place has announced the addition of Sean Cascarano as the team's new offensive line coach.


Notre Dame: Fighting Irish senior wide receiver Corey Robinson, the son of former Spurs center David Robinson, has decided to no longer play football, and has announced that he will instead join the staff as a student assistant.

New York Jets: Per source, Savannah State (FCS - GA) run game coordinator / offensive line coach Donovan Jackson has been selected to participate in the Bill Walsh Minority Fellowship program with the Jets.

Florida: Georgia AD Greg McGarity, a former protege of outgoing Florida AD Jeremy Foley, said he will not be a candidate for Foley's replacement.

Teamworks: Our friends at Teamworks have launched a Fall Pilot allowing any FCS, D-II, D-III, NAIA or JC program to use Teamworks at no cost through November. The Pilot is available today. Belhaven director of football operations Emily Creech offered, "By implementing Teamworks during the Summer last year, the staff and I were able to familiarize ourselves with the system so by the time the players arrived on campus, Teamworks was fully integrated into our day to day operations. Even for a small program like ours, Teamworks has kept us organized and allowed us to be more efficient in running our program.

Austin Peay (FCS - TN): Austin Peay State University is seeking three unpaid intern positions. These positions are available to those aspiring to get into the coaching profession. We are looking for interns on both sides of the ball and special teams. The positions are all off the field positions with no housing, meals, or stipend. You will gain experience and knowledge in working with a Division I FCS football program. The person in these positions will be responsible for assisting a coordinator and position coach with all aspects of coaching. You will also assist the recruiting coordinator with on campus activities, director of football operations, and other duties assigned by Head Coach and Director of Football Operations. Knowledge of video editing, strong communication and computer skills are preferred. Applicants will be required to successfully complete an interview. Limestone College (D-II - SC): Larry Blackstone has formally been announced as the defensive coordinator on Mike Furrey's staff.

Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): Abilene Christian University is looking for offensive and defensive volunteer interns for the 2016 season. Responsibilities will include film breakdown, assisting head coach/position coaches, and any other additional duties. This is a volunteer position only. No meals, no housing, no stipend. Kentucky Wesleyan (D-II): Per source, former Hanover College (D-III - IN) defensive coordinator Ben Cullen has joined the Kentucky Wesleyan staff as defensive line coach.

Marshall: Marshall University is seeking an Intern/Quality Control to assist with the offense. Responsibilities include: Film breakdown, Quality Control, any other duties as assigned by the Coaching Staff, assisting with recruiting, as well as Practice and Gameday Responsibilities. Position is unpaid but benefits include: Networking and resume building, gaining knowledge from a Top 10 offense in D1 football, being a part of program with an excellent winning tradition, and the possibility to travel with the team on road games. Cerritos (JC - CA): Cerritos Community College is looking to fill a 60%, plus stipend, CB position. Applicants need College experience, preferably coaching. Must have a Master in Kinesiology or related field specific. Pay scale will be determined by HR based on experience. Bluefield College (NAIA - VA):  Seeking applicants for the position of restricted earning assistant football coach (cornerbacks) for the 2016-2017 season. Bluefield is Christian Liberal Arts College that is committed to developing students’ potential through academic excellence and the integration of Christian faith. Responsibilities include but not limited to coaching a position, maintaining a recruiting territory, academic coaching, spiritual growth of position, and film breakdown (HUDL).
