Former Rice head coach Al Conover has passed away at the age of 77. Please keep coach's family in your prayers.
Siena Heights (NAIA - MI): Siena Heights is seeking qualified applicants for a graduate assistant opening. The position will work on defensive side of the ball. The graduate assistant will report to the defensive coordinator and head football coach. Duties will include coaching a position, recruiting a specific area, academic monitoring, administrative duties, extensive video breakdown of games and practices, opponent scout as well as some equipment and laundry duties. Additional duties may be assigned by the head coach, defensive coordinator or the director of athletics. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, a valid driver’s license, and playing experience/coaching experience at the collegiate level. Strong communication skills and ability to recruit high academic and quality student-athletes is a must. Experience with Hudl digital editing system is a MUST. Compensation includes a salary of $6,000 and full tuition remission. Positions are contingent upon admittance into Siena Heights University Graduate School. New Mexico Military (JC): Per source, Jeff Crosby has joined the staff as wide receivers coach. Crosby previously coached the running backs at Kilgore College (JC - TX).
Norfolk State: Cornell Brown has officially joined the staff as co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. Brown spent the past five seasons on the staff at Virginia Tech where he worked with the defensive ends and outside linebackers, and he will share the defensive coordinator role at Norfolk State with Andrew Faison.
Allegheny College (D-III - PA): Allegheny College is currently seeking applicants for an assistant coach - Offensive Line. This is a full-time position that includes basic medical coverage and a competitive salary. Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree is preferred. Event management and summer facility responsibilities will be assigned by the athletic director. Maryland: The University of Maryland has an open Recruiting Graphics Position. This person will report directly to the Director of Player Personnel and will be responsible for the production of graphics to be used for recruiting and other social media purposes. Bacone (NAIA - OK): Bacone College is looking to hire (2) two full time defensive assistant football coaches. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience playing, coaching, recruiting, quality administrative skills, and Native American heritage. Must show the ability to coordinate all aspects of football, especially defensive strategy/organization/teaching. Recruitment/retention of student-athletes. Wesley (D-III - DE): The Wesley College Football team is looking for multiple Video Interns. This position will be responsible for filming all practices and games, handling video upload through Hudl, as well as some game day management duties. This is an unpaid position. Southern Arkansas (D-II): Robert "Boomer" Cunningham will be the new offensive line coach at Southern Arkansas, source tells FootballScoop. Cunningham previously coached offensive line at LaGrange College and was the director of operations at Central Arkansas.
Grambling State (FCS - LA): Grambling State University has the following open dates for the 2017 season: September 9, September 30, and October 14. Looking for an NAIA, D-II, or FCS team. St. Lawrence (D-III - NY): St. Lawrence University is looking for games to fill out the 2017 and 2018 schedule. Looking for a Home game in 2017 either week 4(9/23/17) or week 7(10/14/17). Middle Tennessee State: Per source, Florida Tech (D-II) wide receivers coach Austin Silvoy has been hired at MTSU as an offensive quality control coach. Silvoy is a former player under Tony Franklin.
Savannah State (FCS - GA): Head coach Erik Raeburn has announced the hirings of Bill Rychel (OC / OL coach), Chad Williams (DC / LBs), and Nathan Scola (DBs). Rychel spent the 2015 season as the head coach at Notre Dame College (D-II - OH), Williams previously served as the special teams coordinator and secondary coach at West Alabama (D-II) and has previous experience as the defensive coordinator at Valdosta State (D-II - GA), and Scola was an assistant at Wabash (D-III - IN) the last two seasons working with the tight ends and as the strength and conditioning coach.
Sun Belt: The Sun Belt will become the last major college football conference to add a title game, with the first game taking place in 2018, per ESPN.
Saint Vincent (D-III - PA): Saint Vincent College is looking for a defensive coordinator. This position will be responsible for coaching a position, film-breakdown, scouting reports, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Playing experience at the collegiate level is preferred and coaching experience is a plus. Computer and Hudl proficiency also preferred. This is a full time, 12-month position with benefits. Minimum qualifications for this position: Bachelor’s Degree; college level playing or coaching experience; ability to demonstrate excellent written communication skills.
