AAF: The AAF has moved its championship game from Las Vegas to The Star in Frisco, Texas. It's just one game, but could be the sign of much, much more.

Mississippi State: UConn linebackers coach Jon Wholley is joining the Mississippi State staff. Jerren Horton has been hired at UConn to replace Wholley. Horton will coach UConn's Star, Nickel and Dime positions. Horton coached with the Atlanta Legends of the AAF this season and spent the 2018 season as a grad assistant at Southeastern Louisiana.

Clarion (D-II - PA): Clarion University is seeking applicants for an Assistant Football Coach (Defensive Skill). This individual will be responsible to coach the Safety or Cornerback position, recruit a designated area, and any other responsibilities appointed by the Head Football Coach. Collegiate playing or coaching experience of the Secondary positions preferred. This is an entry level position and the compensation includes a hourly wage, along with a housing discount. Toronto Argonauts (CFL): Matt Black has announced his retirement after a decade playing in the secondary for the team, and the Argos have announced that he is entering the team's front office in a football operations and player relations role.

San Diego Mesa (JC - CA): Rob Hartenfels, who previously served as the associate head coach at Reedley College (JC - CA), has been named the new defensive coordinator at San Diego Mesa, per source.

Scoop 'Em Up: Bryan Ault is currently the assistant director of midwest scouting for National Preps, where he has spent the past six seasons. Prior to that, Ault worked at Ball State and Franklin (D-III - IN) in various recruiting capacities. Ault is looking to land a position on a college staff in their recruiting department, ideally as a recruiting assistant. Ault’s references include National Preps COO Donnie Zimmerman, Franklin College head coach Mike Leonard, Ball State offensive coordinator Joey Lynch, Chicago Bears national scout Jeff Shiver, San Diego Chargers director of college scouting Kevin Kelly, and Memphis assistant Pete Lembo. This individual will be responsible to coach a position, recruit a designated area, and any other responsibilities appointed by the Head Football Coach. Jamestown (NAIA - ND): The University of Jamestown is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant coaching position. The best candidate regardless of position will be hired. Responsibilities include coaching a position, managing a recruiting territory, coordinating on-campus visits, hudl video, scouting reports/breakdowns and other duties assigned by the head coach. Position includes 100% tuition waiver for the Master of Arts in Leadership Program (which is an exclusively online program), and a full meal plan. There is no stipend for this position. There will be the opportunity for additional income available. On campus housing is also available. Admission to the University of Jamestown Graduate School (minimum GPA of 3.0) is required. Playing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred. Grad School begins either May 6, 2019 or August 26, 2019. Position must start no later than July 15, 2019. Missouri State (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop offensive line coach Justin Kramer is being promoted to offensive coordinator. Additionally we understand the Bears new quarterbacks coach has been identified. Once that hire is in place, there will be no remaining openings on staff.

Hudson Valley (JC - NY): Hudson Valley CC is accepting applications for the position of offensive line. The ideal candidate will be a young, up and coming offensive line coach who will have his own room, gain a ton of experience and recruit an area (Recruiting New York a huge plus). Washington: Source tells FootballScoop Rip Rowan is joining the staff as a defensive quality control. Rowan, who was on FAU's staff the past two seasons, had just accepted a position at Illinois about 10 days ago; but sources confirm he is now planning to join Chris Petersen's staff.

East-West Shrine Game: The East-West Shrine Game is looking for a new executive director after Harold Richardson stepped down. Details here.

Rockford (D-III - IL): Following the departure of Jim Schroeder for the head coaching job at Benedictine (D-III - IL) as we shared yesterday, Rockford has promoted defensive coordinator JT Zimmerman to the head coaching post. At 29 years old, Zimmerman is the youngest head coach in Division III football.

Northwestern: Northwestern Football is looking for a Coordinator of Creative Services. This position will conceptualize, design and edit creative video projects and graphics for in-house and social media use.
