Big 12: Supervisor of football officials Walt Anderson has resigned to focus on his work as a full-time NFL official.

Georgia: Kirby Smart's long-awaited raise should be announced tomorrow. It is going to be LARGE.

Bowls: ESPN unveiled the 2018-19 bowl schedule on Wednesday. Of note: the CFP semifinals (Orange and Cotton) will be played Saturday, Dec. 29, the Fiesta, Rose and Sugar will be played New Year's Day and the national title game is set for Jan. 7 in the Bay Area. In connection with the bowl schedule, note that the 2019 AFCA Convention is Jan. 6-9 in San Antonio.

Finlandia (D-III - MI): Finlandia University is looking to hire a full-time quarterbacks / wide receivers coach with possibility of coordinator duties. Responsibilities will include practice organization, game plan preparation, scouting/ game breakdowns (Hudl), positional organization, academic accountability, recruiting, and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. Must be highly organized and show commitment to leadership and developing young men both on and off the field. NCAA: The NCAA is apparently cracking down on some pretty ridiculous uniform rules in 2018 that you should be prepared for.

Henderson State (D-II - AR): Henderson State is looking to hire a defensive backs coach. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all facets of the program, the recruitment of quality student athletes, organization and planning of all practices, game preparation, film breakdown, and monitoring the academic progress of student athletes. Duties will also include teaching activity courses under the direction of the HPER Department. Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of NCAA regulations is required. Collegiate coaching experience coaching and playing Defensive Back is preferred with demonstrated success across the job description is required. Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
