Missouri: Barry Odom has released a statement saying that defensive line coach Jackie Shipp has been let go.
Alma (D-III - MI): Alma College is looking to hire a full-time defensive line coach. The applicant’s primary responsibility will be to assist the Head Coach with the intercollegiate football program including but not limited to: coaching, recruiting qualified student athletes, fund raising, camps, developing practice schedules, building community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student athletes, and knowledgeable of applicable NCAA rules. Applications Deadline – December 2, 2016. Minimum qualifications include Bachelor's Degree, college playing / coaching experience. Start date is January of 2017. Georgia: Louisiana Monroe deputy athletic director Josh Brooks is headed back to the University of Georgia as executive associate atheltic director. Brooks, who previously served as director of athletics at Millsaps, has significant experience at Georgia where he previously served in various capacities with the football staff and within the athletic department.
Broyles Award: The nominees have been announced for the 2016 Broyles Award.
Howard (FCS - Washington DC): Head coach Gary Harrell's contract is not being renewed. In 5 seasons at the helm, Harrell's Bison went 20-36. The University states they will begin the process to identify their next head coach shortly.
LSU: Jimbo Fisher has been offered the LSU head coaching position according to Charlie Hanagriff who has a weekday radio show in Baton Rouge. Hanagriff describes the offer as "an extremely substantial one".
Purdue: Dennis Dodd reports that Illinois State (FCS) head coach Brock Spack has interviewed for the Purdue job. Spack is a Purdue alum and previously served as an assistant with the Boilermakers for well over a decade during two different stints, serving as defensive coordinator for the program from 1997-2008. Spack has an overall record of 62-34 leading the Illinois State program.
Howard Payne (D-III - TX): The school has now officially posted their head coaching job and are accepting applications.
